La Masure

Thanks to Sylvie for her hospitality and geniality. Sylvie was helpful and there to answer questions if needed, to show us around the grounds and even to deliver a homemade aperitif! We had a very relaxing week at La Masure. The children loved the pool, the house was spacious and very well equipped and the style was a mix of antique furniture and themed decor - the children’s room with the ice skating curios was delightful! The gardens and grounds were interesting and full of trees, flowers and curios, a quirky eclectic well loved home from home, and it was inspiring to see the work the family put in to make their little piece of paradise. The animals, especially Joy the Labrador, were well loved by the end of our visit and Joy came to visit and say hello every day which the children loved. Mosquitoes were fairly hungry as high summer so take repellent and moscoils. Sylvie had placed plug in adaptors inside and coils on the patio (amazing views!!!) I’d recommend a car for travelling around - Gemenos village centre is really close and has a number of good restaurants and patissiers. Cassis and the Calanques coast line was only about 20 minutes drive and well worth a visit and a boat trip, we liked La Bestuan beach and ‘Same Same’ beach bar was super cool!
