Most likely one of the best places in the Lozère for duck liver; ideally located at a short drive from Mende. Also other local dishes –like aligot- are available in this vey welcoming place. Last week at dinner, we enjoyed the no-nonsense atmosphere and the warm welcome by the boss and staff; and of course the succulent food. After dinner we chatted with some guests who were staying for three nights at the Saltel. They told us rooms are spacious and very clean and said it was a perfect price/quality offer. Today, we went back for a quick lunch on the very spacious and sunny terrace. The ‘plat du jour’ was very tasteful and once again served with lots of local charm. No doubt that we’ll be back next year.
