Le Clos de Saint Amour

We arrived in the heat of the day at this countryside house near Montauban. We assume is an old farmhouse or at least all the woodwork speaks to that. The host was welcoming, as was the pool and the beautiful garden. Nice surrounding but indeed a bit away from Montauban and restaurants. Though all was very relaxing in the evening. Even the frogs in the pond where not annoying but rather illustrious. The room was sufficiently large but under a pitched roof. Well maintained and with a kettle. Which we had no interest to use; we preferred the fan. We could use the fridge in the small breakfast-kitchen as well as some tools. Cooking is not allowed, which is alright. The room was advertised with a view at the pool which was a small window at knee-height level so not much to market for (and we kept the curtains closed to prevent sunshine to come in the room. We had a good sleep though the bed was covered with a duvet where a simple sheet would have sufficed. Breakfast was well taken care of and nice to have it in the early morning in the terrace overlooking the garden. Service was all good. Certainly, an advisable location for a good stay and for a good price.
