Aux Rives de Honfleur

This is a magical place. The sounds of the various birds in the distance so easily heard by the otherwise silent and peaceful soundscape makes this the perfect place to retreat as and artist or anyone who enjoys naturalisation. The hospitality from Pascal and Marie complements the energy of the area splendidly. I felt like i was a child returning home by the eay they looked after me. Far superior to any 5 star experience I have ever had. This really brings life back to pure form for me after such a hectic season i found solace and a reason to travel a quaint village on the coast. The river running outside is seen but not heard which is consistent with the calmness of the area. Upon entering I was mesmerized by the aroma of home-made rattotooie. Similar to the movie rattotooe in which the chef is transported back to the past to his child hood by the taste. I was transported into the present moment by this smell i had never sensed before. When my concsiousness retunend to my body after A brief moment of ecstasy exsasorbated by the warmth of thd greeting from Marie i was able to take in the class of the spiral staircase l, the massive fireplace, self preservated jams and the piano. I have been saling and trsveling for 3 years and this is really a place I wish i could never leave. So much so that I asked Pascal and Marie to adopt me lol. They are expets in the area and always gave me tips on how to keep the boat safe and the best locations for good food. This spot is perfect for the peace of village life eith easy access to the more touristic Honflur. This is surely a place I will return to when I need to be reminded of what real richness feels like. Flawless. 10/10
