Hôtel Aux Armes d'Estaing

By far the most charming, beautiful, warm, loving, outstanding place to stay, not only in Estaing, but in the whole region! A true gem right on the river, the perfect location is matched by the airy bright impeccably clean and gorgeous rooms, by the truly delicious (and thoughtful) food (I had several wonderful meals and almost all of my breakfasts there! Simply marvelous!), the generous and profoundly friendly team, and by the cozy community that the truly wonderful, caring, deeply compassionate owner Pascale has created. Hôtel Aux Armes d'Estaing became my second home as I recently walked part of the Chemin de St Jacques de Compostelle. Indeed, after spending one night at Aux Armes d'Estaing, I decided then and there I MUST circle back to the village for a four night respite at the hotel. It was the most joyous, peaceful, and heartwarming part of my whole trip! I even returned a third time with a friend on my way back to Paris a week later -- every single time I was there, and every room I stayed in, was beyond impeccable and perfect. And of course the people -- the incredible Pascale and her beautiful team -- are the heart of this jewel. I cannot say enough -- just that I will be back many more times. If you need some magic, some peace, and a dose of compassion and joy on your trip, stay at Hôtel Aux Armes d'Estaing.
