Good but problem with the swimming pool staff, who were unfriendly and intolerant, telling my daughter her swimsuit was not a swimsuit (!) and was not allowed in the pool. 

After reading other reviews, we were rather concerned, however on arrival we picked our keys up to the villa (these were left on the reception door as it was closed). None of the instructions were in English however managed to find our way.  We entered our villa and were pleasantly surprised.  Although rather dated  the accommodation and rooms were lovely and clear with a large shower and bathroom.  The bed linen was lovely and clean, all being pressed.   For three nights this was more than adequate. 
Negative points - It is not clear on arrival that you could not drive to your accommodation and that we had to collect a trolley (1 euro) to carry our luggage over to the villa.  Also it is a 20 minute walk into the town and a 30 minute walk back in the heat.   The town is really not worth a visit at it is very dirty with dog mess on all paths. All in all a pleasant stay, but considering they advertise they have a lot of English staying, more needs to be done to make us welcome, just a few more instructions in English would be a start. The lovely receptionist who does speak English is very helpful . Would I stay there again, no, but that is only because it is too far from town.

stopped here on the way to the Dordogne, I would recommend for families,  large spacious clean accommodation. We had 2 small bungalows for the 7 of us.  Set up is like a caravan park but with individual bungalows.  Believe there is entertainment for children on site but this was a one night stopover - would use again.

VERY MUCH A SURPRISE

Basic but clean and comfortable

Good but problem with the swimming pool staff

This was a last-minute choice as it was one of the options available in an area we had to visit at short notice. We booked a double room, which sounded fine and was not too much more expensive than the budget style hotels to be found in France. However, on arrival we were told that we were being put into a 'villa'. This was presumably because the double rooms had been double-booked. We trekked with our suitcases to a brick building on the far perimeter of the site. When we opened up we found a small kitchen, a children's bedroom with bunk beds and an adult bedroom with double bed. The shower room and WC were dated but functional. The decor was dark and gloomy so there was not the feeling of confined but cosy comfort one would experience in a compact budget hotel bedroom. As we had arrived expecting to be put in hotel-style accommodation we did not have dish cloths and washing up liquid so could not really take advantage of having a kitchen. At least, contrary to expectation, the mattress was comfortable so we had a fairly good night's sleep. There was heavy rain during the night, however, and the next morning involved a muddy trek through the grounds with suitcases to the car park at the other end of the site and a quick departure.

Not what we expected

It would appear there has been little investment over the years to update the facilities. I imagine in its heyday this was 'the place' but now is looking tired and in need of a facelift. The quiet site itself is well tended and the brick built chalets are well spaced amongst the trees. Games are provided at intervals e.g. boules/badminton etc. The chalet we had was basic with kitchen and 2 bedrooms. One double bed in one room and one room with 2 single beds. The double was comfortable but the singles not great for 2 adults. The kitchen was equipped with crockery and cutlery but no tea towels or detergent. The main drawback was that there was no settee or place to sit comfortably inside. The shower worked well once you mixed the right temperature. It was clean but  just in need of TLC.  Bearing in mind the area this could be a gold mine.

Lovely surroundings but needs attention

Lots of people have said similar things on here. The receptionist was lovely and the overall look of the site is nice. HOWEVER, the villas are not good, I can honestly say that I have never been in a building with such a dated look/feel - they cannot have been decorated since the 1950s!  Cleanliness was questionable bearing in mind the age of the fittings/furniture etc., when I pointed out to the missus that we had lots of dust in our own house she pointed out that "at least it's our dead skin cells!" I didn't sleep quite so well after that!  There was a very musty smell, again down to the ancient decor, sufficient to remain on our clothing!

The only plus (and there really was only one) in terms of accomodation was the bed, the sheets were clean and the matress was firm (how I like it).

We stopped for one night only, had we had to stay another day, I think I would have developed mild depression.

Location was OK for Le Touquet but would consider staying in town in future and pay a little extra.
