Cocoon Inn

Cozy, well equipped room. Very friendly father and son team. So helpful and great to chat with. Excellent breakfast. Very clever design with excellent touches. Perfect. Suggest choosing larger room.

We stayed in the attic room - with 2 separate bedrooms and a living space it was spacious, clean and comfortable. The father/son team were really  welcoming and quick to ask if there was anything they could do . Breakfast is extra - 12 euros - but was copious and varied. We really liked the modern and quirky deco - nice to stay somewhere that isn’t a “brand”. Short drive into le Touquet - at end of season it was quite quiet. Lots to do in the area - we  particularly enjoyed walking from the club nautique and a trip to la Citadelle in nearby Montreuil. Great spot at only an hour-ish from Calais and ideal for a short break.

Smart modern room in pretty courtyard. Comfortable bed with good linen. Stayed cool in hot weather. Very good breakfast and friendly helpful staff. Near lovely Etaples and Montreuil as well as the big beaches of the Opal coast. Recommended.

A very clean and quiet hotel with a perfect breakfast buffet. We recommend this place!

Great stay for myself and friends. From the start father and son were so helpful and wow what a great chalet style place to stay.a spacious and comfortable area fantastic shower overall great and we will come back.

Lovely place, lovely people . Perfect location . Calming atmosphere. Thoughtful decor. Proprietor and his son really lovely. Just to note bar shuts at eight , restaurants close at Ten. To all the Fellow Irish and English travellers bring your own wine and no cabs so sadly you need a designated driver

we was away for 11 day at different hotels and the cocoon inn was the best place we have every stayed we are already looking to stop there again next year pricing was very fair and staff very friendly and welcoming we was riding motorcycle and parking was behind locked gates and close to room rooms was to a high quality should be a four star

Great place to stay Father and Son very helpfully and gave us some good advise on the surrounding area.
Excellent  breakfast very good value for money.
We both look forward to staying again in the near future 
My room was fairly small but I was told about this before my visit. 
However the room was very clean.
Next time I have been promised a larger room.
I would recommend this hotel to anybody

Worth the trip

My stay at The Cocoon Hotel

We were stranded here when our car broke down on holiday, and the owner couldn't have been more helpful. After giving us advice on where to hire a car, he then phoned a couple of companies on our behalf, drove us to one of them, spoke to the garage where our car was being repaired, and even stored the bikes that we were unable to transport. In short, he did everything that our breakdown provider should have done (but didn't)!

Exceptional service!

We've stayed for 3 nights and we can only confirm all the positive comments from previous visitors - what you see/read is what you'll get (e.g. cozy setting, neat room, fresh and extensive breakfast). Definitely great value for your money (it remains a 3* hotel!). 

Specific compliment also towards the owners (father & son) who will do whatever it takes to meet your needs & requirements to make sure you feel at ease (e.g. low-salt diet for our youngest son). Definitely dare to ask them for suggestions e.g. when it comes to restaurants or activities nearby.

Extra recommendation: take the opportunity to enjoy the diner - our kids loved the fresh made pizza and we the well-flavored risotto chorizo with marinated ibérico porc!

Not an ordinary hotel!

Booked Fri-Mon with no expectations but was pleasantly impressed! Easy to find, owners Jean Luc and son Tibor were both delightful, well spoken English and good sense of humour! Rooms were small but had everything you need, bed was extremely comfortable! Shower was amazing! Nice big windows with roll blinds and a lovely breeze day and night! Breakfast was gorgeous with just about all you could need! Lovely stylish lounge and bar area and new larger rooms with own terrace on offer! Lovely outside seating next to a field with horses! Breakfast wasn’t available on the Sunday but owners very accommodating and offered some basics if needed. Very relaxed atmosphere and you are made to feel at home! Just ten mins from Le Touquet and Berck and the price for each room for the 3 nights was very reasonable! 💯 recommend and thank you Jean Luc and Tibor! Hope to see you again 😊 

Pleasantly surprised by this little gem of a Hotel!

We loved our short stay at Cocoon Inn and highly recommend it. The welcome was warm and English is spoken well, if you aren’t trying out your dodgy French like I was. The place is recently renovated with modern fittings (includes USB sockets 🙂) and a super comfy bed. We slept really well. The location is on a coast route in Cucq with several restaurants nearby for dinner, including one excellent one right opposite. We opted for breakfast and it was very good - fruit, yoghurt, juices, pastries and breads, cereals, cheese and hams and even egg and bacon cooked freshly on request. The breakfast area is pleasant and you can sit outside if the weather is good. One point to note is that the standard bedrooms are quite small without a lot of space for bags.  I think there are superior rooms which are larger. If this is important to you then maybe take care to book a larger room. We would return happily - it was a lovely stay. Thanks to our charming hosts.

We were very comfortable at The Cocoon Inn. The proprietor was very welcoming and very forthcoming with any information we needed. Room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We dined at La Releve and recommend it very highly. And it's worth nipping back before the bar closes for a cocktail😎

Great stop over hotel

Booked a long weekend at the Cocoon Inn to allow us to explore the beautiful Opal
Coast. The journey from The Tunnel was easy, and The Inn was easy to find. 
First impressions were excellent and we received a very warm welcome from the young owner. Tibor (apologies if the spelling is incorrect!) spoke excellent English which was much appreciated as our French is minimal. 
We opted to take an upgrade to a Courtyard Room and also booked in for breakfast. Parking is off street and safe. 
Our room was fantastic, quirky decoration and a superb bathroom with a walk in shower and great toiletries. 
Having a Nespresso machine in the room was a very nice touch, as was the bottled water which was replenished daily. 
The bed was incredibly comfortable, and coupled with the peaceful setting, we slept very well. 
Breakfast was well worth every euro! Delicious breads, cakes, meats and cheeses. Fruit, cereal, croissants - a very good choice with a hot option available (bacon & eggs). 
The Inn itself is thoughtfully decorated and the bar area was comfortable and welcome after a busy day of sightseeing. Again the young owner, supported by his Dad, made us feel completely at home. 
We ate at both local restaurants and found them excellent.
This little gem is going places and we will watch with interest as the owner’s plans progress. 
If you are looking for an ideal base in a great location with a warm welcome - BOOK!
