We chose to stay in Grimaud for 3 days as a home base, based entirely on good reviews and photos. This place was more charming and comfortable than the reviews would suggest! Reasonably priced, this inn boasts beautifully decorated and spacious rooms, a terrific breakfast, and Patrice who is the perfect host. He was able to direct us to surrounding areas and even suggested we avoid traffic and take the ferry to St. Tropez which was an excellent call. We stayed in a beautiful, spacious room with an excellent private bathroom (great shower pressure!) and a second floor balcony which provided stunning views. Grimaud is a sleepy hill town but perfectly situated between several interesting towns, and it really gives you a taste of Southern France. There is an old fortress /ruins at the top of the town that is lit up at night and gorgeous. The entire village smells like jasmine in May/June. STAY HERE! You will not be disappointed.
