Home Dome

Stayed at the Home Dome back in 1995 and have fantastic memories of what is a fabulous hotel for groups, no frills basic rooms, but a fabulous atmosphere, we were there for an event called Eurock and stayed with people from all over Europe, Breakfast was great and the staff were really helpful.

Stayed here with a group of 11 at beginning October during a visit to agricultural show.  Was with a group of women who were not teenagers and used to something a bit more luxurious.  We only needed somewhere to sleep and a good breakfast to start the day.  Their availability to cater for our group meant this was the only choice for the dates we needed and the price was a very pleasant surprise - £23 per night for single, en-suite rooms including breakfast.  The location was excellent, the rooms were very basic but very clean and the breakfast (continental style) was on an unlimted basis so you could really set yourself up for the day.  We were very warmly welcomed upon our arrival, everything was as we had expected and we even had very early breakfast (5.30 am) on the morning of our departure.  Could be a bit "lively" just before midnight but no parties or all night noise heard while I was there.  Would definately recommend for attending a show or other event that means you only need somewhere convenient to sleep but don't expect a pampering holiday with room service of other extras.  Well worth the price paid, if you need a more "hotel" type experience then choose somewhere else and pay the extra but this property offers a very good option for the price.

Excellent for the price

I've had to stay in Home Dome on a few occasions. I stayed there most recently while in the process of moving. To state is plainly, Home Dome is way too expensive for what they are offering. The rooms are basic, small, and very clean. The food offered at the "restaurant" is outrageously expensive and I do not suggest eating there.

Not Great...But it could be worse

The bedroom was very small and ruined, quality is an unknown word. There was a persistent smell of smoke that was coming in from the corridor, where there was not the possibility to open the windows.
The bathroom is large a squared meter and the shower uses the same tap of the basin!
I've booked it for two months but canceled the day after I arrived. In addition there was the possibility to put a fridge in the room but I do not ever know how they can fit in a so small room. I have also the fortune to have noisy and creepy neighbors that were smoking and able to party even in a so small room sometimes even in the night.
Breakfast was ok, with fresh and very good bread.

Low price lower quality

When i saw the room (i mean i spent in some shabby hostels) it was so depressing for me, i at once moved from this jail to a hotel. There are way better youth hostels in the world. I know it's cheap (45 Eur), but i can just repeat that i even saw better hostels then this little room and this very tiny bed.
