Mobile Home Le Clos de See

We rented the chalet (mobile home) at Le Clos de See for 6 nights at the end of September. It was very reasonably priced and great value for money. The chalet is separate to the main house (which has B&B rooms and another apartment to rent). We speak some French but although the owner speaks French and Serbian she does not really speak English. However we managed to chat and she is very friendly and welcoming. The chalet has its own parking pace, with a few steps and a slope up to the gate to the terrace area (with picnic table) that is for the sole use of the chalet occupants. From the terrace there are about 3 more steps up to a veranda (with loungers) along the side of the chalet . We do not have a dog or young children but this terrace and veranda are safely enclosed by fence and gates. The chalet is spacious (12ft wide static caravan clad in wood). There is plenty of seating in the lounge area plus a flat screen TV (French channels only). There is a dining table and 4 chairs and a kitchen area with full oven, microwave and adequate crockery etc. We noted there is a new saucepan set. Only dishwashing items were provided, you need to bring your own kitchen roll, foil, condiments etc.The bathroom is small but with a very good powerful shower set in a small bath (hip bath size) with a moulded seat. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a full length king size bed the other room has a small 4ft wide double (quite short you wouldn't want to be much taller than 5'4" for this bed!), both beds are really comfortable. By arrangement bed linen and towels can be hired. We did this and found that the beds had been made up for us. Although the weather was warm in the daytime, it was September so the nights were a bit chilly, but the panel convector heaters in each room were really good and the rooms soon heated up. The absolute glory of the chalet (and the other accomodation in the main house) is the wonderful landscaped garden. This is the pride of the owners, with gravel paths, classical style statues and a beautiful large natural pond, lots of plants, shrubs and trees, the pretty river See flows at the bottom of the garden (it is fenced off). Words cannot describe how beautiful and peaceful the garden is, and as a bonus there are plenty of seats dotted around. Le Clos de See suits nature lovers who want a super peaceful base to explore this part of Normandy and we loved it!
