We stayed here for two nights but will definitely return. The French lady who owns the property is charming and although she doesn’t speak English we were able to make ourselves understood. We had a delightful room in the annexe, it was clean comfortable with a view of the garden and lake and good reception for the Wi-Fi.Breakfast was simple but adequate.

Stayed here as a base for a visiting the Normandy beaches. Excellent location between Utah and Omaha. The room was much nicer and roomier than expected. Clean and quiet. Located adjacent to a horse farm - lovely gardens, friendly (French-speaking only hostess).

A long tree-lined drive leads to the lovely old building on the outskirks of Carentan.. Our room overlooking paddocks and fields was roomy and nicely decorated, with en-suite facilities. Breakfast consisted of home-made jams, bread and croissants with good fruit juice and coffee. Our hostesss was most friendly and helpful. We also walked around the field behind the house which added to our enjoyment of this very pleasant B&B. On the three nights that we were there we walked to the nearby port to dine or into the town centre (1.3 kms).

We were warmly greeted by the owner, France, to this lovely 'farm' built in 1632. Our room was simple (with wifi) but nice and quiet and invitingly warm on a very cold evening (end of March!)  Lovely grounds around the house where horses are raised and trained. We had a nice breakfast with great homemade jams in the kitchen, really homelike! We would love to go back with better weather!

Lovely old building on the outskirks of Carentan

Calm & not far from the D-day Beaches of Normandy

Wonderful base for seeing Normandy

We stayed here whilst exploring the Normandy landing sites. I saw reviews for this country B&B and all were good. The house is well presented, it retains a rustic style. The rooms are old in style but clean and bright. The house is tucked away down a private road and has a nice gravel court yard. The owner is friendly but does not admit to speaking English, not a huge problem once you  understand the front door key and agree a time for breakfast.
The house is a good mile from the town centre which is further than it looks on the map. The town which was significant if you are interested in the military history, seems to lack restaurants and anything of interest. There is little wrong with this B&B but Carentan is disappointing as a town of interest.

quaint and quiet

My wife and I arrived late after looking at the dog-patch Super 8 type place down the road. We were cordially greeted by the Madame who showed us a modest room on the second floor. Not fancy but comfortable enough. The place has a slight musty odor, which does not seem out of the ordinary when you consider that this Chateau that you actually sleep in is almost 400 years old. Built in 1630 the main house is a real museum. We had breakfast in the kitchen next to the fireplace and had fresh Croisants and local jam and butter with a big cup of French Coffee. We were the only guests and the place is not well marked on the maps. Follow the B&B signs to the long driveway that leads up to the Chateau. Madame speaks no English and my French is only slightly better, but the stay was a unique experience for this American. The Normany french folk are friendly and will appreciate any effort to use French. Don't miss the downtown of Carentan, St Maire Eglase, or the Band of brothers memorial nearby.
