Villa Les Palmes

Of course it is not a 4* hotel as mentioned on some servers but the quality of the accommodation pass to this level.The location is perfect.It is close to everywhere.Beach with rough sand(50 cm step down into watter just after 2 steps-difficult for very small children,sometimes quite full) is just one street and park away, restaurants uphill only 200 metres and small shop directly by the gate(50 metres) and high society hotels/festival hall and shops only 10 minutes walk..A bit disturbing is only main traffic street around and a few stairs to the building that might bring difficulties to disabled people(but inside is already elevator).The room is newly refurbished,kitchen well equipped(some equipment is better to wash before usage, but in general well cleaned).In studio we had was a huge sofa instead of a bed that you must every day flap back even you can not walk through as it is directly on the wall.But was quite comfortable for sleeping.Bathroom standard and clean.Small balcony without any view was very dirty so never used by us, only to dry our laundry.Air conditioning was silent and effective.The owner/custodian took care and was very nice and well English speaking.He called us before when we came,helped us and explain everything.Garage is extra payed (15 Eur) and needs to be prior requested but is great to have it directly under your controll and locked with code.Parkplace (6 places)is siutable for small cars but we managed to park also our big combi in first slots.There are only a few things to criticize.The main was that some safety deposite of 500 Eur was blocked till check out,but a few days after still blocked) on our account that was not previously reffered in booking conditions.Somehow understandable and would be accepted but not a nice surprise after arrival and not good time duration.The other thing was breakfast.You get a package of sweet bread,marmelade/honey,butter,juice, milk and coffee/black tea/chocolade for the whole time of your stay after check-in.Again acceptable but should be mentioned before booking.In that case I would book without breakfast and buy something I like more for that money. Overall feeling and valuation was very good and looking for accommodation in Cannes is this one highly reccommended for its good price/worth ratio,location,equipment,cleanness and great familiar care of the owner.We would return.
