Nuit d Ailleurs

We stayed one night before we went to catch the shuttle the next day and it was superb. We were warmly welcomed and settled into our beautifully decorated Bombay suite (living room, en suite bathroom with fabulous big bath, bedroom with en suite toilet). We parked right outside the hotel which, although so close to the centre of Calais, was peaceful and quiet. I enjoyed relaxing on the couch watching the TV (found an English channel showing Midsomer Murders) and was happy to make use of the kettle (speciality tea and coffee supplied) before we had our evening meal. In the morning, after a comfortable night, we were welcomed in the breakfast room and given a choice of breakfast items. We chose croissants and hot chocolate (delicious) and there was also a further choice of breakfast items such as yogurt, fruit, jams, Nutella. Our host was warm and welcoming and always had a smile on her pretty face. She was readily available to help at all times. I particularly enjoyed the peaceful ambience throughout the entire hotel and I thoroughly recommend it to everyone. I just hope it isn't fully booked the next time we want to stay there!!!
