What a find! This hidden gem is run by a wonderful couple who have renovated this 17th century mansion just outside historic Chinon. The decor is exquisite and while it really is like stepping back in time, it’s fabulously comfortable. The pool and gardens are a particular attraction! Jean Claude and Moha suggested a trip to the local castle where a tango spectacular was being held on our first night. Lit by 1000 candles, it was a wonderful evening. Breakfast was on the terrace and was enough to keep us going all day, with croissants and hard boiled eggs, freshly baked bread and local goats cheese!
