L' Ambroisie

We had the most wonderful time staying at L'Ambroisie. The hosts are super friendly and extremely helpful. Their accommodation offers an authentic French experience in a beautiful and tastefully decorated spacious house with a charming garden. Breakfast was really delicious. We are highly recommending this place and plan to come back! Staša and Jean

So glad we chose to stay here. A great choice for an overnight in this beautiful village. The rooms were spacious, spotless and beautifully decorated in keeping with the historic building. Bed was very comfortable too. Wonderful breakfast selection of fresh fruits, cheeses and breads with nice touch of offering french toasted brioche which was delicious. Warm, friendly hosts who called immediately they realised I’d left my purse.

A superbly friendly welcome. The host even offered to move his own car so that we could have more secure parking for our classic car. The accommodation was first class. A beautiful old house renovated and decorated by the owners very tastefully.
Lovely large airy room with window over looking the garden. Comfortable bed and good facilities. The hosts couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating.
Would recommend without hesitation.

This is a perfect small B&B in a tiny French village.  It is absolutely delightful.  Our room was lovely with a large bed, great bathroom, beautiful antiques, and quality linens.  There is a beautiful dinningroom where a delicious breakfast is served leading to a peaceful garden.  The village is darling as well, but only a couple of restaurants.  The owners are so very nice and attentive.  A great experience.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights at L'Ambroisie in Bourdeilles and had a fantastic experience.  Our room was on the top floor and featured exposed wood beams in the ceiling and original stone walls, giving the room a truly old and authentic feel.  Our room was filled with the timeless chiming of bells from the nearby church at regular intervals, but otherwise we were surrounded by the peacefulness of this quiet town in the heart of the Dordogne region.  

Corinne and Jean-Claude Joch were extremely friendly and helpful as our hosts.  The breakfasts were sumptuous affairs, with freshly baked croissants and homemade Brioche.  The local restaurants were outstanding, and the location is a great jumping off spot for exploring local towns such as Brantome and many others.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience in the heart of this charming region of France!

Delightful B&B and the owner was really lovely.The house was beautiful with a gorgeous sweeping staircase. The room was well decorated and the whole place had a very French feel.  The owner offered us ear plugs, as the church bells rang throughout the night and that would be our only complaint. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and served in a beautiful dining room with plenty of choice and the owner's handmade cake. We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed the town of Bourdeilles
