The room is very clean, draps very white. Quite simple but comfortable,  high value for money.  Perfect for a weekend.  The staff is very friendly  and location is perfect, near of everything. 
Definitely recommended!

I didn't expect too much for £30 for one night, but this is a grim hotel in an equally grim location down a grotty side street in Marseille. I started to worry when I saw a used pair of women's tights dumped in the street.

When I arrived in my room in the afternoon I looked out of the window and had the pleasure of witnessing two youths trying to hot wire a scooter in the square below.  Indeed the locals were a general feature of my brief stay: screaming their heads off until the early hours of the morning outside in the square below, and therefore depriving me of any genuine sleep.

The room itself was pretty grotty, with a makeover desperately needed.  A lick of paint would certainly help.  The staff - two middle aged blokes - both reminded me of Rigsby from Rising Damp, skulking away in a back room.  They were quite pleasant however.

Overall if you are staying in Marseille for any length of time (i.e. more than one night), treat yourself and stay somewhere more salubrious.

You would have to be a "lunik" to stay here!

No hotel for the average tourist. But a cheap and good budget option located near the old port of Marseille. 

The hotel is in a shabby back street, the staff does not speak English, the hotel offers no breakfast and there is no air conditioning. 
But the staff is very nice and helpful, the simple rooms are clean and there are many cafes and restaurants near the hotel.

A  perfectly fine backpacker hotel.

Cheap and simple hotel

We arrived in a hotel where the painting in the stairs was completely chipped off. The bathroom had no door but a curtain. Not really charming when two people are staying in the room. The TV didn't work and internet acces was highly sporadic. The staff wasn't really welcoming either. We never felt really at ease there and the fact that we found our computer out of its bag when we came back in the room after a day outside didn't improve that feeling.

Unable to ever use wifi. The man and woman at reception did not speak English - he wrote the username and password but were completely illegible 

Alley a bit scary and a single women -- could not go out at night 

Would not recommend unless you are a black belt and speak French 

Also no elevator so third floor with tiny stairs very difficult to get luggage up
