B&B Maison Boa

Searching for quintessentially French? Look no further, Maison Boa is perfect for your stay. It was perfect for ours! There are two guest rooms, each with private bathrooms, on each floor of this 18th century home that has been rebuilt from the ground up to the period architecture. Madame Florence, the owner, was very welcoming and yet discreet. She welcomed us at first, and met us each morning and then left us to do what we wanted. Breakfast is perfect-fresh croissants, baguettes, and pain au chocolat from the bakery, fruit, yogurt, and delicious coffee. Madame Florence is extremely accommodating, she spoke English, and helped my husband with his French. She offered to make us reservations for dinner when we were unsure where to go. The room was incredibly quiet, we could not hear any other guests. Street noise, though, is to be expected as this is in the heart of the busy Le Panier district and adds to the charm. We enjoyed listening to the sounds of Marseille and highly recommend you also enjoy the music and the sounds of Le Panier when you stay here. Go to Maison Boa! You will not be disappointed-especially if you’re looking for an experience that feels like you are in France, on your very own grand tour because just another hotel room doesn’t give Marseille or Provence the justice it deserves.
