Maison d'Hôtes La Boca

And I mean hidden ... The GPS had a bit of trouble finding it, thank god for Google Maps! We left a stressful stay in Toulouse to get away from the crowds of peak season tourists to get some down time. I found this amazing place & the booked it for a night, wish it was for more! The host Katherine & Sylvian are absolutely lovely and what they have done with their eclectic and charming rustic French Maison is amazing. We would have been happy to just stay there however there was a festival in the town so we went in for dinner in the medieval town in Sommieres. We had an amazing meal at a beautiful Italian restaurant recommended by Katherine and we were not disappointed. After a lovely meal and walk through the town we headed back to La Boca. It was a beautiful night in their charming garden & we invited our hosts to share our lovely Bordeaux red. For the next couple of hours we had a fantastic time talking about France & Australia with our charming hosts. The next morning we had an amazing breakfast served in a beautiful garden setting before reluctantly packing our bags and moving on. There are two things to do in Sommieres, stay at La Boca and soak up the food & wine of the old town! I hope we can come back again one day.
