Le Vieux Donjon

Spent a few days here with my partner and loved it. Just over an hour from Paris so great for a two -stop holiday. Frederic, Luis, Serge and Willy made us feel very welcome, the food was excellent, the house and park are beautiful, and the courtyard garden and pool a great place to spend the day sunbathing. Very peaceful location in the countryside, I caught up on my reading and  was sad we had to leave. We're already planning our next visit!

I visited here in november 2015, the owners have a beautiful house.  They offer massage, a heated pool and a hammam.  The grounds are beautiful and the house is situated in a beautiful area of France.
I would stay again.

Spent a weekend here in November at a Tantric Massage workshop and was totally impressed by the whole setup.
From the warm welcome from Louis,to the moment I left,I could not have felt more at ease.
It is true,that the sleeping arrangements are not what I am used to,but hey as Louis says,"you are all going to massage each other,so get to know each other before":)
We were 23 in total at the workshop,I must have been lucky as although I didn't know any of them,we all seemed to get on really well,with massage being the main interest  for us all and not a covert sexual agenda,we had such a good time though!
Would highly recommend this little sanctuary,whether just for a weekend,few days away or for any of the interesting workshops that they run.

Having read a previous review slating this place off, I wonder if they stayed at the same place!!  Yes the owners are not in your face, but they are extremely friendly and helpful.  The place is immaculate.  Very well kept and spotlessly clean.  Enjoyed our stay!!  The facilities were fantastic, lovely steam room (not a hamman), pool shower, swimming pool, an outdoor area for naturist sunbathing.  Rooms were spotless, and well laid out.  I do have one or two minor critiques though, 1)  There are no toiletries in the rooms, this would be useful as like us, we left behind our shower gel at a previous venue, and did not even have handwash in the room.  2)  Breakfast was underwhelming, many times we turned up to just bread and jam, occasionally there were pain au chocolate, yogurts but not a lot else.  In addition, we had to frequently ask for more tea/coffee.  3)  We were informed that we could not drink our own drinks downstairs as they sold drinks, which is fair enough but they must be available, on one occasion, it took over an hour to find someone for a drink which is not acceptable but easily sorted by having a bell or other calling system.  In short a great stay, a couple of minor issues that could be improved on, but we will certainly be back.

Beautiful and Friendly

Tatty rooms some sharing a bathroom . Horribly mean food and ultra disobliging hosts. All boast of it being a relaxing gay only place utter nonsense as garden open to view and only nude place being the indoor pool which was like a tropical hot house. The special gay events such as massage weekends we were told are attended by the more "senior" people and their web shows young  " adonis "
