Very pricey, food good, not fantastic.  I suspect at least some of the cost was because of the dozen or so pieces of silverware presented over the course of the meal to each diner.   Excellent service,  Quiet setting next to pool.   Restaurant is in a very old and grand hotel.Wide array of choices of food.

Had a one night stay in this hotel in the outskirts of Pau, it's a charming place, with cozy rooms and very nice and attentive owners. The room was ample and clean, the bed confortable. Good price/quality ratio. If I'll be back in the area will definitely return

This is probably better described as a restaurant with a 6-room guest house attached to it.. 

Each of the six rooms is comfortably appointed, each in a different colour theme, mine having reasonably nice appointments for this part of the world (where hotels can be, sometimes, a little spartan).. Air conditioning, spacious rooms, en-suite bathroom.. Quite pleasant, all in all..

The hotel quotes rates from 80 to 200 euros.. i'd say it's very nice at 80 euros.. too much at 200 euros..

The restaurant is very nice, if somewhat pricey.. Serving food of the region, rich and heavy on the fois gras.. Nice wine selection.. 

Have a look at the web site, it seems fairly honest to me, having stayed there..

My thoughts.. Nice, but a little expensive.. Fortunately, I didn't pick up the bill..

Small hotel attached to gastronomic restaurant..

Simple, quiet and extreme kindness

Oh dear! This establishment doesn't appear to address its problems. My English friends and I were on a day trip visiting some vineyards in the area and broke the day with lunch at this hotel restaurant. A couple of my friends have been before and said that it was good. Sadly not so good this time.
The restaurant manageress (proprietor?) was quite abrasive once she realised that we wanted the lunch menu and not the a la carte. We had to ask three times what the menu of the day was before getting a satisfactory response.
When the food arrived (served by two delightful waitresses who were friendly and bright) two of us found bits of stone in the starter (beef ravioli). When we drew attention to this the manageress offered the classic French response for which France is sadly infamous for, a Gallic shrug of the shoulders and a gruff po-faced "la". No apologies never mind any thought of a peace offering. 
Despite this the food was very good and well priced - shame about the manageress who  was evidently having a Parisian "bad hair day".
