Stayed here for 6 nights.. This is my last day..great staff. Very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are spotless. Beds and linen very comfortable and a good powerful shower. Fantastic location and good bar. Fairly priced.. Would certainly stop here again.. 

This is the third year in a row that we have returned to this hotel and we have never been disappointed with the hotel or the warm and friendly welcome from the staff. 
It has an excellent location in the heart of Bidart, a small typically Basque village on the hill top overlooking the Pyrenees and a short walking distance (all be it down fairly steep paths) to a number of excellent beaches. 
There is a small parking area to the rear of the hotel. Otherwise there is a larger car park a few hundred meters down hill with a path leading directly to the centre of the village and right beside the hotel.
Weather at the end of August/beginning of September is warm and more settled than earlier in the season. 
Sitting outside the Elissaldia hotel for a drink or a meal is a very laid back and relaxing experience while you can either simply enjoy the views or soak up the village atmosphere of the Thursday evening/Saturday markets, local bands or local entertainment and pelota games.
We hope to return to the area again next year and have no hesitation in booking into the Elissaldia once again.

Stayed for three nights in the end of a long road trip vacation, which were also the village festivities days. But we manage to relax as we enjoyed the room, the cleanliness, the comfortable bed and room décor. The lateral entrance and parking is a must, as this area is quite busy in summer. The breakfast at the esplanade is terrific. The building itself is village landmark, and you'll find basques playing in the inside fronton. As a bonus the restaurant is just great. 
Will stay again if in Bidart again.

Worth paying the extra for a superior room as the standard looked small. Amazing views from number 11. There is no lift. Waiters very nice - one even lent us his season ticket to the pelotte final. Food was good value for money. It's a bit of a hike to the beach - and back up the cliff path but worth it. Hotel very clean, staff friendly. Parking is limited but there is a free car park nearby. Would definitely go back. If going to the area, book the trip on La Rhune train up a mountain in advance as there were massive queues for those who hadn't.

Car park very small and there were no spaces available throughout my stay which was very inconvenient.

Very nice hotel quiet and clean with very good restaurant. Staff friendly and helpful. Superior room worth the extra for the view, also had a good big bath.

Very nice hotel, quiet with good restaurant.

We stayed one night in Bidart and chose this hotel due to its central location. 
At 90euros a night, I expected a bit more. The car park was impossible to find. And when we saw it, we decided it was better to leave the car elsewhere anyway as it was extremely narrow. 
The room was spacious but with minimal amenities. Wifi did not work properly, we couldn't get the signal in our room. No kettle, nor water, no phone. Cheapest soap, no shampoo.
The welcome was however friendly.
