This is a water front hotel with every room facing the ocean. The rooms are big and everything is just perfect. If you are looking for a great stay than that is the place to be in Biarritz. Wild and the sound of the surf will put you asleep in a minute.

If you are going surfing in Biarritz this is the place to stay. ONLY 20 meters from the beach:)

Wonderful hotel on the beach. We had a relaxing 3 days here. If the local authorities put up a sign saying a NO Through Road, then it would be perfect, great access to resturants - a nice walk to the centre of town, lisening to the waves at night was delightful. Car parking under the lodge was interesting and a little difficult, but it was good to get the car off the road.

full see view the beach at 50 meter but it s most for surfing the sea is not easy for swimming 
i got a superior room at least 35 sm with a nice living room and 2 terraces but no free water 
it' s not an hotel it s a residence hotel so you have somebody at reception only day time until 6 pm 
the owner is really helpful and polite

An amazing location - directly on the ocean, hearing waves as you go to sleep. There are a couple of restaurants next door and it is a beautiful, 10 min walk into town along the beach or up the cliff paths. The surfing scene is fun to watch with group lessons everywhere.The room was big, clean and everyone was friendly and helpful. The car park is in the cliff behind the lodge, so you need to call reception so that someone goes with you in the car elevator.  While an extra step, we never had a problem and enjoyed chatting and learning about the area on the quick ride.  You need to have a small car for this -confirm your car type with them if you want to use the parking. This is a lodge, not a full service hotel, so there is not someone always sitting at the front desk, and while the rooms have little bar fridges, there are no coffee machines. We knew it in advance and were there for the amazing views of the beach, surfers, the cliffs... We were there mid-week which was great.  Our last night was Friday and it was markedly louder - not in the hotel, but at the restaurant and bar on either side, all of which have outdoor seating and folks hang out on the wall and scooters are coming and going until early morning.  It was fun to watch for a while.  Given that there is no AC, we had our balcony door open and so it was loud. Try to stay on 2nd floor. If you are a light sleeper, better to go early or late in the season and mid-week. Overall - a great place to stay and we would go back! 

Important to remember this is a surfing lodge, and as a result it is a bit tired in some areas where people walk in and out in wetgear, and also investment in recent years has obviously been lacking.  However the location is something else, to be able to look out from your window onto the bay and watch the action (or take part if you want). Really comfortable beds, big bathrooms. Short walk into the town, or up the hill to bars and restaurants.  It's fun.  Big bonus of parking at the back of the hotel via the in-building elevator. Management are really helpful and friendly. 2 x cafes right in front.

THE SURFERS HOTEL

If you want the location rent a van and camp out! Much cleaner and relaxing than sleeping in a dirty place! Locations is amazing but even I am cutting my stay here short after 2 days! This is truly unbearable... Can't sleep from fear of having them crawl on me while I do.
