Only downfall about this place is no shop to get milk etc overall great place although was no entertainment when we stayed ( must of been there low season ) no kids club or sports centre open either. would deffo recommend and go again

Great stay

This review is based on camping in our own tent on site.

Upon arrival, everything was smooth. Unfortunately my French is non existent and the lady on reception didnlt speak English, but between us we managed to get booked in. However due to the language barrier is was not very clear where we were to pitch our tent. We drove around for quite a while, as the campsite is quite large. Also, they asked for a E50 deposit for an automated key that opens the front gate and the toilets..of which more later.

The campsite is mainly static caravans and there is only aproximately space for about 20 odd tents. The tents tend to be pitched at the front of the campsite near allthe facilities which is handy.

The Pitch we had was number 12. It was a good sized pitch, but the sandy soil made putting pegs in and making them stay in very difficult. Being so close to the beach the wind does pick up over the sand dunes. Most pitches seem to have hedges around them to give privacy and a wind break. However pitch 12 didn't have any, which made for a couple of nights of worry when the wind was very strong.

The swimming pool area really is the star of the show. The slides are great, the pool is brilliant. The whole pool area was very clean, and there were plenty of chairs around. There were 2 life guards on duty, which was good.

There was a bar on site and it served a couple of beers and all of the usual spirits etc. The staff didnlt seem to happy or friendly in the bar, but maybe we just caught them on a off night. Friday night there was some entertainment, and on Saturday night there was a disco. 

As for food, there is a fast food van on site which cooked every night we were there. The usual stuff you would excpect was served. We ate from the van once, and there was quite a long wait. It seems some people can order before hand and pick up food ay a designated time. This would be good if you are in the know, but quite frustrating if you have to wait.

On Saturday night a pizza van was on site - this was a nice touch and we did enjoy our pizza.

The toilet block we used was very modern. However, you had to use the automated key for access. Also, you have to use this key to use the taps and showers. This is fine but it seems that you are only allocated a certain amount of useages a day...on 2 days we ran out of uses when trying to bruch our teeth at night. There was plenty of hot water, but the facilities werent kept that clean or tidy - which was a shame.

Also, the doors to the toilets have quite modern locks, which get stuck - often. We witnessed 2 other people stuck in toilets and my own 9yr old son also got stuck.

All in all, the pool makes this site OK, not great, but OK.

Camping Review: The good, the bad and the ugly

This campsite could be so much better if it was updated.  You're paying for a 5 star campsite and getting the equivalent of a 3 star.  The mirrors in all the showers and washrooms are so tarnished and blackened that you can barely see yourself in them.  The pitches are scruffy and never seem to be mowed or tidied up. The swimming pool surround needs a new surface and the whole area need refreshing.  The charge of £10 a night per dog is just ridiculous.  If you have 2 dogs it costs you half again of the pitch price for the week and unlike infants and young children they don't use any of the facilities, so where do they come up with such an absurd amount?  Won't be returning, there are far better and nicer places to go and a lot cheaper.

Tired, in need of updating and expensive.

The place itself is lovely. Great pool, good accommodation, lovely people who made a good effort to bridge the language gap as our French is very limited. 

The WiFi is not the best. It is very temperamental and poor.

The main problem came during check out. A young girl came to inspect the chalet, which was cleaner than when we arrived and ordered us to clean more. Dishes and a coffee maker we hadn't used, under the beds, the toilets. It became apparent to us that we were being exploited and that they would not be cleaning the place  before the next guests arrived. We obliged, because they had insisted on a €350 deposit. This cloud hung over us as we worked like employees. This treatment of their guests was appalling and totally ruined a very pleasant week for us. We were inspected 3 times by 2 young women who behaved like Nazi drill sergeants. We had discussed returning in the future. Due to this terrible experience,  we will not be going back. We would have preferred to pay a little more to have someone clean as this is not our idea of a holiday.

Nice Place, Run By Nazis

We arrived at this camping on 24/03/22 and reception closed from 12 till 14h. For 1 night(!!!!!) they charged us 52,00€. Yes 52€ for 1 van, 2 persons and 1 dog. BEWARE: THEY CHARGE 10€ PER DAY FOR A DOG!!!! They told us we were allowed 4 showers of 10 minutes. This is with an electric token to enter the shower/toilet building. This token also activates the shower water. And the timer is set on 10minutes sharp. I have never taken a shower longer than 5minutes anywhere but here i saw the last drop fall after 10min. This is in Berc for gods sake!! North of France. This is not Marbella or Saint-Tropez!! We have never seen prices like this on campings in France/Spain/Portugal/Belgium or Holland. 
There are maybe 5 campers here. No restaurant, no bar, no pool, no shop, no spa. NOTHING !! FOR 52€. 
You would at least expect a welcome drink for that price, or maybe a bottle of wine (even a half bottle) with your meal. But that’s not possible because nothing is open. Not even a goodie bag for the dog at 10€/day, not a ball or even a little bone. 
This is very very very disapointing and sad. 
Because we were tired from a long trip and nothing else was open we had not much choice than to take it. We were in desperate need of showers and toilets. At least these are very nice and clean. 
But we will only be f#€&@d once. 
NEVER AGAIN WE WILL RETURN HERE

Our neighbours payed over 100€ for 2 nights. 2 persons with 1 dog and a small camper. 
This is disgusting. 

REMINDER: 
THIS IS WHAT YOU PAY IN LOW SAESON SO DON’T ASK ME WHAT THEY CHARGE IN HIGH SEASON. BRING YOUR MONEY IF YOU WANT TO STAY HERE. IT IS PROBABLY CHEAPER IN A HOTEL WHERE AT LEAST YOU HAVE A BAR TO GET DRUNK AND FORGET ABOUT THE RATE/NIGHT

Low season but price of a hotel room

Criminals they steal your deposit when asked for evidence they send u pictures of a different accommodation then when you raise this they fail to answer emails and delete you off all social media for highlighting this fact terrible place terrible staff avoid at all costs
