39 reviewsThis is a wonderful place and so full of character. Beautifully restored with wonderfully clean and comfortable beds. This is probably the first place that I have ever stayed away from home with pillows that are perfect for me. It was very hot when we were there but there is no way that you could expect air conditioning in such a historic building. We had a fan in our room and fabulous old wodden shutters to keep us cool. Towels sitting in a basket for the pool is a lovely touch and the pool is beautiful. Never mind the stunning view! For 'wilting' women like me, the large sofas under the huge lean to shaded area were superb. It is quite unusual and cannot really be compared to other places. Eva and her staff are so welcoming and, once you have found your way through the huge green door, it is a little home from home. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and being able to sit out in the courtyard with a takeaway pizza was so much nicer than a restaurant for a couple of very tired travellers. Wifi is dodgy, but free! There are corners so it is quite possible to get connected, but not necessarily in your room. I got a 3G/H signal most of the time so stayed connected. It is not a hotel in the normal sense of the word - it is a place to relax, be trusted and left in peace. Wonderful!
