44 reviewsWe loved this campsite and stayed for a full week. We had blisteringly hot weather which certainly helped. The site is the perfect mixture of relaxed rural camping coupled with nicely maintained services and on-site entertainment - everything is a little but tired but the site's overall appeal didn't suffer at all. A beautiful pool in the nicest setting I have ever seen on a French campsite - overlooking and surrounded by the Jura forest. Table tennis tables under an impressive sun canopy and six boules courts. Staff are friendly and helpful - they even booked the vet visit for our pooch for the return to the UK. Order croissants and bread for collection the next day. And take a canoe trip down the river Ain - all organised on-site. They drive you 12 km up river and you wend your way back at your own pace. Our two boys (10 and 7) loved it and so did our poodle! The river is simply stunning. Crystal clear, teeming with fish and beautifully clean and fresh to swim in. Having a pitch right on the bank we had our morning coffee watching the sun rise over the river every day. We had a brilliant time at L'Epinette and would recommend it highly. p.s. wifi is simply awful, but we didn't care - we were on holiday!
