We were welcomed by Christine and in spite of our poor French managed to communicate with her and her husband Ulysses very well throughout our six night stay. We had the self-contained apartment adjacent to the pool which suited us extremely well. Christine’s generous breakfasts were beautifully presented, each day with a different Provencal setting, and served alongside the pool. Roque d’Antheron, a town adjacent to Lambesc, hosts a classical music festival each year, with world famous musicians and we were lucky to attend one of the concerts. For those that enjoy golf the excellent Pont Royale golf course designed by Seve Ballesteros is within easy striking distance (about 15 minutes’ drive).
