Beautifylly renovated rooms in the old manor! The hotel is located in a lovely place by the Lake Saimaa, where you can also go swimming.  Great breakfast. We just loved our stay in this historical place. While our vidit, there was no possibily for dining however. Check for dining in advance.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting by Lake Saimaa 

A well-used historic house, with an old part and a new part, in the woods and near the lake. A large room, with the essentials but very clean. Breakfast, good and varied, in the dining room of the Manor in a suggestive setting.

I'm a historian.

You'll get the atmosphere of the old war veterans' mansion with a lot of artifacts, including photos of the generals dining on the veranda of the top of the tower. The area around it is on the 5th Lake with a small beach and cafe, plenty of sports entertainment, including a golf course for 18 guests and tennis courts. Up to three hours in any car can be purchased in the centre of the restaurant for just under 10 minutes.

Atmospheric place with historical past

It's not a luxury hotel. Small rooms and simple furnishings, no Wi-Fi, barely passable breakfast.

Disappointing and not up to par

The hotel is clean, the room has everything you need, and the general hall even has a microwave oven. And it's necessary, because this hotel has the subtitle Manor and Restaurant, but the restaurant closes at 16.00, and if you arrive later, you'll have to look for food in the center of Mikkeli (i.e. 7 km by car).

Beautiful nature and unthinkable infrastructure

The hotel consists of two buildings - the old charming manor house and a new building, tastfully done. The yard is dominated by fine oak trees. Accommodation was fine and food as well, all clean and functional. The highlight was meatballs in the breakfast - I usually do not like them, but these were soft and delicious.

Interestic, historic place

The Kyyhkyla Manor consists of two buildings: the main house, which reflects the charm of the past (here breakfast is also included) and the modern hotel building with most of the rooms. The complex is located about 4 km outside Mikkeli on the shore of a lake. I was very satisfied with my room which was bright and friendly. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and breakfast can be described as luxurious for Finnish conditions. All at a very fair price. In conclusion: highly recommended!

It's beautiful.

We had only two days' rest, but we would have liked to have stayed longer. The room was comfortable, the surrounding nature was wonderful: forests, hairy fields, age-old oaks, a stunning lake, where it was very pleasant to bathe. We enjoyed the abundance of fragrant flower compositions around. From the morning onwards, they were cared for by the gardener. In general, the care of the staff is felt. In the historic building of the mansion the old atmosphere has been restored. We had breakfast on the terrace overlooking the park and the pieces of the lake.

It's a quiet, comfortable hotel with a historical past.

The hospitality, attention and friendliness of the staff simply conquered..)) They stopped on the road to spend the night, rest. Breakfast is definitely above average. The mass of various snacks-salatis, plenty of milk-based products, drinks and all sorts of delights. Of hot cassava or omelette with sausages. The situation in the restaurant hall corresponds to the general style of the estate of the time.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms, peaceful and beautiful environment. Worth a visit, if you somehow land in Mikkeli, Finland.
Breakfast was quite basic, I'd have hoped a bit more variety. Also, there was no info about the lactose content, which I'd find helpful.
