Liked the Door to open to see the Lake & Sauna in room

I piced this hotel at random, as it was directly on my route. The hotel itself is nothing "special", everything is as expected. Okay, the location by the lake is superb, and the service was very friendly and professional. But what struck me was the restaurant. It was absolutely incredible – I planned to get a quick bite, but looking at the menu I knew that wasn't going to be the case. The menu was full of amazing sounding dishes, and I had a hard time to make choices, everything looked so fantastic. And the dishes themselves didn't disappoint, the food was absolutely fantastic, also very well served and presented: 10/10.Highly recommended for foodies!

Amazing restaurant!

We enjoyed our night's stay a the Finlandia Hotel Alba.  The room and facilities were very clean.  We enjoyed having a sauna in our room.

Very nice place to stay

The view from the lake-side rooms is excellent and refreshing. Also, the staff were friendly.

Really liked this hotel a lot. It might be showing it’s age a bit but staff couldn’t be friendlier, the breakfast was great and we appreciated borrowing bikes for free. Then it’s a very short ride into town. Also nice to take a sauna and then a dip into the lake. Parking is free.

Easily recommended

From our first booking conversations with Tommi Sievinen to the warm welcome upon arrival, quality of rooms, dinner and breakfast, we had a very positive experience staying at Hotel Alba. The place is very nice and quiet, with a nearby park where to walk before or after dinner and Jysväkylä lake for a swim. We recommend Hotel Alba.

Very positive experience

I was driving a long way and needed to find a place to stay over night - and this was perfect for it. It is not far from the center of Jyväskylä, but far enough to have ample parking spaces (free), easy access as you do not have to drive to the very center as well as quiet and peaceful surroundings for a good sleep.

I was travelling alone and my room was small, but it was comfortable and contained everything that I needed (plus a lake scenery as a bonus).

Having slept well it was nice to start the next (driving) day with a good breakfast.

This was good - I recommend!

This hotel is expensive and filthy. The single room is dirty , the bed was literally falling apart. There are noises coming from everywhere during the night. I literally slept 2 hours and woke up with a headache. The receptionists are not kind and they treat you very bad, almost like you annoy them with your presence. Especially the elderly receptionist .I mean I would have never put my foot in that hotel if I have known how it ready is . Avoid !!!

Avoid

While not expecting much, judging by the reviews here, I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are very small, but sufficient and clean. The staff was super frindly, yet a bit slow (in the restaurant). The breakfast was plenty, delicious and very varied. We had one dinner in the restaurant, the menu is intriguing, it was fine cuisine, though pricy, and it's beautiful to sit and eat with the view of the lake, though frozen when I stayed here.

A pleasant surprise

Very basic hotel to be a 3-star hotel, although the price was also not very high. It is in a nice location on the lake shore. At the same doorway there is a paid public parking area, but the establishment gives you a card to put it in the car and you don't have to pay. The rooms, which are quite obsolete, lack details such as putting a headboard on the beds - so that the pillows don't end up falling to the floor - night tables, another seat for a second person and the like.
