Modest and clean, friendly . Spa is relaxing and the location is perfect. Comig back!

Very nice, very clean student accomodation that serves as a budget hotel in the summer, of course not really low-budget during the Savonlinna Opera Festival, but really priceworthy. The two spacious rooms with a small kitchen and a balcony would have been ideal even for a longer stay. Delicious breakfast, lovely surroundings, service-minded staff, and even the use of a small spa included. 

Very nice hotel with steam room,pool and great breakfast buffet. Only negative is lack of wifi in many rooms. Some rooms have shared bathroom.

This is not a fancy hotel and is very bare bones. The room had 2 twin beds, a desk and chair, nightstands, a bookcase and a private bathroom. No art on the walls or carpet on the floor...remember this is a dorm room. But it was clean and for 1 night it was the perfect stay a 10 minute walk to town andvery inexpensive. The best part was we were able to use the pool (which was very nice) and got breakfast at the hotel next door (which runs the summer hotel). If you are looking for luxury or amenities, this is not be the place. But for an inexpensive and unique stay, I highly recommend Summer Hotel Vuorilinna. 

It's a student dormitory room used for accommodation during the summer. Small and a bit uncomfortable beds but otherwise quite alright. The breakfast was decent.

Very nice and clean summer hotel

Good place to stay

Great hotel ,no wifi in most rooms though.

This should be more accurately advertised as a hostel rather than a hotel. The room was more like a dirty hospital room than a hotel room. There was a kitchenette attached which was in the advertisement but no utensils or plates or anything to make it useful. The beds are small and uncomfortable, no television or air conditioning. I would have been perfectly fine paying half of the cost of this stay if the Hotels.com listing was more accurate. My wife and I stayed in the Main Hotel last summer really enjoyed our room and stay for exactly the same price. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you are desperate for just a place to sleep. Breakfast was OK.

Not good value for money

Terrible. I understand it is student lodging, but come on, you could put hangers and soap for the guests! Breakfast at the Casino hotel is sufficient, included in the Vuorilinna price, but the service is bad. There’s not enough staff to refill coffee pots and juices etc. and guests have to clear the tables themselves to be able to sit. What’s happening with the Spa Hotel! I have been there before, but totally going downhill. Paper hand towel machines in the lobby bathroom as an example, one out of three worked then that one stopped also, paper not installed properly.

Summer ”Hotel” Vuorilinna

We stayed at Summer hotel Vuorilinna (II) for one night. The room located on the ground floor. It was poorly cleaned and the indoor air was very damp(ish) and smelled a bit odd. Fortunately, we used the room just to sleep over night and spend the day elsewhere. Bathroom was ok. Breakfast was ok. The location of the hotel was good, though. Still, the price/quality-ratio was really bad. 139€/night was way too much for this room.

Below average!

Rooms are studentdorms and very ascetic. Got onky one ket to room. 
Clean bedlinens - so for just sleeping this is fine. No hairdryer. Free parking. Breakfast was plenty but too few of staff, so almost every plate was empty even when breakfast was still going for over an hour.. scenery is beautifull and very short walk to city center.
Remeinds us of schoolcamping 🙈

Great location

 The worst hotel we had in a 2 week baltic tour. Luckily the only bad one.  It was the last available place in Savonlinna for a 3 day trip in reasonable walking distance to the Opera.  And we sure found out why it was the only place still available, even booking  4 months ahead.   we knew it would be  primitive , with no TV or AC. Just an annex to the somewhat better Casino Spa hotel.  Rooms had a narrow bed. No bedside light.  Wire coat hangers. Sheets and towels were not changed or rooms cleaned  except at extra  unpublicized charge. Breakfast buffet was mediocre and separate from the Casino buffet which was only 25 meters away, and just a little better. And the cost was  a non refundable  $900 US for 3 nights.  They knew they could gouge guests during the festival and did they ever...  But we did  enjoy the town and the opera and good meals elsewhere
