This place is horrible for even a day stay! Avoid at all cost! Broken beds and no management to help with anything.

Initially called hotel to make a booking but was told that no rooms were available. However, I was able to make a booking via Qantas Hotels, so go figure.
Booking was for a couple and included breakfast.
However room was dirty, only 1 bath towel was provided, there was no remote for the air conditioner and the TV did not work.
And to top it all off, in the morning, was told by the rude staff that breakfast was not included.
A totally dishonest establishment in Labasa, best avoiding.

Excellent customer service, reception staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy. Town is in walking distance and it’s safe. We were provided shuttle to and from the Inn. If you need peace and quiet getaway than this place is the best for you. We hired a car and drove around labasa and savusavu in a day. The Inn can arrange a car for you. People are friendly and always willing to help. Thanks for Grace, Ashika and Sonia from The Friendly North Inn for all your assistance.

Nice and quiet outside.shower,toilet,mattress is gross. lizards and ants are all over the place.

Air conditioning remote control didn't work and door lock half broken

I booked a 3 nights stay at the hotel and below are my feedbacks: 

1. The room was clean and decent enough for me, my sister and friend. For the 3 nights I paid a total of $180.00 Fijian dollars. We had a small issue with the air conditioning but the staff were very helpful in getting that sorted. I'm not too fussy about having air conditioning in the room however, the Labasa weather in mid July was VERY HOT. We were extremely grateful to the handyman who came to fix the issue! 

2. Breakfast menu was $5 fijian dollars. You could include that in your booking fees but we chose not to. For breakfast, I got two pieces of sliced toast, butter, and boiled egg, watermelon and banana, and coffee. It wasn't enough for me. But the good thing about this hotel is that its within walking distance to the main town area. So, if you're like me and your favourite meal of the day is breakfast, then there's a lot of bread and pastry stores, malls and restaurants to get some good breakfast. 

3. Perhaps my only recommendation other than improving your breakfast menu, have some sort of option for customers to check out late, including a late fee. We were travelling back by boat on Sunday night and the bus leaves Labasa town at 10pm. We really needed a place to stay and requested to pay a late checkout fee but the hotel wouldn't budge. I understand that that not your policy but it would really help customers if you include it! 

4. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I felt right at home.

Low budget hotel in Labasa

Paying for a room to sleep 2 adults and one child I expect that all three paying guests are catered for in that price.

Breakfast was included, but apparently for only two. Really? When there is no other option available on site. Two slices of toast, a boiled egg and a piece of fruit are going to break the bank. You would rather one paying guest goes hungry? One sits out ay breakfast? 

The cost is customer satisfaction.   

Only one towel was provided for the three of us. Why would you put only one towel in a three person room? I came to the conclusion they are either badly organised, don't care about providing what the customer pays for but would rather scrim and cut corners to save a buck. Had it not been for this two things this review would have been far more glowing.

Cheapskates

Room and bathroom very nice.  Had a fridge and electric jug.  I had also had an email confirming pickup at airport but nobody showed up and clerk at check in did not seem to know anything about it.  SO...do not even plan that you will have shuttle pick up.  There are plenty of taxis at the airport and it is the same cost.  No wifi was a nuisance although they had nice new TVs ...still wifi is really expected these days....even if if was just in the dinning area. 'There is an internet cafe mid town upstairs.  It is a bit of a walk to town but a nice one cutting through the park.  There is also a nice cafe and snack store up at the hospital next to the emergency entrance which saves you having to go all the way to town to eat. Staff helpful.  Could have gone a bit bigger on the fruit at breakfast.  Loved exploring the countryside by local bus.

Nice room in quiet part of town

Small rooms with no wifi. No swimming pool or activities. Continental breakfast is just 2 pieces of bread and an egg with 2 pcs of fruit. Town is nearby (1km) so can have your meals there. Have to pay extra $20 per day to have access to kitchen facilities.
