Superb location. In the very centre of the city. You can find really everything (New City, Old Town, Debar Maalo in a short walking distance.) Shops, bars restaurants are nearby. The owner Goran is a kind,, helpful and cheerful person, and the fantastic lady, Sanja at the reception do everything for the guests. I can only recommend the place. I will return for sure.

Great place

Hostel is old, but ok. Beds are crappy with the springs in your back. Owner just visits the place, cleaning lady is at reception most of the time. 
We forgot a toiletry bag. Owner said for a week long that he would send it by post tomorrow... After a week he just said he didn't want to do it... Not a nice guy at all. Hope nobody spents a dollar there.

Not a nice owner

My 3 friends and I stayed here for one night coming from the airport on our way to Ohrid. The hostel is very cute with a nice garden/smoking area where we could play cards. We had a room to ourselves which was basic but very clean. The staff were so helpful with taxis and places to eat etc; their English was very good. The only downer was it was too hot at night and the traffic outside was very loud but having said that skopje is 40 degrees in August and who can expect a hostel which costs £4 a night to have good air conditioning. In short it is very safe and good value for money. Exactly what you need for a short stay in a city!!

Extremely pleasant with helpful staff.

As we stayed in an apartment, the address was different, but the front lady took us there by taxi. She was knowledgeable and helpful and gave me her viber number so that she can help calling a taxi. (the price was honest and one third of the price we had to pay from the bus station on previous day). Location was excellent and the view was nice. the place looks a bit old, but that did not bother us.

very friendly and helpful staff

I had requested private room, didn't realize it was a separate apartment (likely my own fault). Room was ok, on a busy road with lots of construction, so can't sleep late, but very very central. Check in way confusing and rushed, then didn't interact with again. Contract info was available, but hard to ask quick questions since it's a separate location.

Was ok

The place is kind a in the center. Staff is lovely and helpful. Beds are not comfortable. And walls re so thin. Until everyone goes to sleep in hostel it's not possible to sleep! Rooms re opening to common area. If there is someone talking in there. You can hear everything. The hostel is on the half basement. That's why place is lightless and full with humidity.

It needs renovation!

We stayed in a private room in the apartment which is separate to the hostel itself. Check in was friendly and easy. The place is very comfortable and warm and you are centrally located. Free green teas in the kitchen. No cooking facilities but you can make up sandwiches etc or cold foods.

Great view from apt!

We highly recommend this place! The staff is very nice, helpful and all the front desk staff speaks English very well. They also provided a small map and a short introduction to the basic layout of the neighborhood. In the kitchen, coffee and tea are provided for free. Location of the hostel is favorable, not in the center, but in a very short distance from the center. You will walk by the Government Building which is very nice, especially in the evening. The church Saint Clement of Ohrid is also very close. There is also a nice bakery close to the hostel.

I think there's no microwave oven in the kitchen, which would have been nice to have. The small outside area ('garden') can be a bit loud if there are many people outside during the night, as the walls are not soundproof.

Highly recommended

We stayed in the large apartment the hostel has available, and it was excellent. As it was part of the hostel it was very (VERY) good value. We were met at 2am by a lovely lady with the key and instructions, which was great.

Big bedrooms, big rooms, very warm in Winter. It was well-located - the main sights of the city were very walkable, as were plenty of bars and restaurants.

I wouldn't say it was spotless - the bin in the bathroom hadn't been emptied - but it was nothing worth getting upset about.
