Worst hotel i have ever been,rooms were dirty,sheets on the bed unchanged with dirty stains.The room was full of died flies,there were dead flies even in the fridge and the cabinet.
No hot water.Do not reccomend at all.
The elevator was broken,so had to climb till the last floor with all luggages.

Terrible,Do not go there,ever

The hotel is near ski resort, its a 2 min walk to the first ski lift.
The hotel has own parking, but you had one big free parking just in front of the hotel.
The room was clean, spacious, had a nice mountain view, it was warm, only the tv was not working but who needs tv now, right :D

Only thing that we found wrong was the breakfast, very poor, just eggs and bread, no coffe or tea, and we had to pay for the espresso . 

Excellent location

Dirty rooms,poor internet connection.
The breakfast was poor and  without choice (only 2 egg) :). Also there was not hot water for shower. No credit card, only cash payment.
With one word-TERRIBLE!!!

Dirty,cool rooms,old furniture.Only the stuff is ok,but the conditions in the hotel are bad.Everything is old,nothing was changed or renovated with years.Even the water in shower is not enough hot.With one word bad choice.

Disgusting food, dirty rooms (there were poo marks on the inside of our toilet when we arrived), laughably incompetent service - and most of all, a complete rip-off. 

We were also told the card machine had broken, but reading the reviews here I see that everyone has to pay in cash and they have been using that excuse for years - think what you will of what tax implications that has. 

The jacuzzi situation is bizarre. You are not allowed to use the jacuzzis despite you having to pay extra for a room with one. They claim they do not have any plugs for the jacuzzi tub, and they told me they don't have any for ANY of the rooms with jacuzzis. Despite this, the jacuzzis were dirty and there were clumps of hair stuck in the plughole with old tissue stuffed down there. 

There was rubbish from the previous guests on the floor of the room, the walls were filthy, and the wallpaper was peeling off. 

The breakfast was just miserable I almost cried it was so poor. Everything was cold. 

I will give them credit, they make a good machiatto and the wifi works well. But you can get that anywhere in the area.

Had lunch there upon advice of rhe tour operator. It was the mos unprofesional, slow uneducated service and crapy food. If you want to ruin your day go there to eat. They were refusing to serve us anything except meatballs. I have no words to deacribe how vad their attitude and food were.

Total crap

Fine hotel, great location. They should pay more attention to the clearness of the rooms and the towels. Also, the rooms had strange smell when we got in. 
We bought Grouper coupons for 2 nights stay with breakfast in a standard double room. We made a reservation by phone before we buy the coupons and then we confirmed it by email. We got a reply back with a confirmation for the reservation of a double STANDARD room.
We came to the hotel, checked-in and everything was as we agreed before. 
The day we checked-out of the hotel, beside the tourist tax we knew we had to pay, they wanted to charge us with additional fee for using panoramic type of room, although we have never asked for one. They explained that although we bought coupons for а standard room, the day we came to the hotel all the standard rooms were busy, so they had to accommodate us in a panoramic room. I will say again, we didn’t know that we were using that type of room, because no one told us that the day we came. We also had the email confirmation as evidence. 
Of course, we refused to pay, and the receptionist was very rude, saying that we should not come to this hotel again, because we were being unethical and she had to pay for a service that we have used. 
Macedonia has a lot more to learn about hospitality. Mavrovo, with such a natural beauty has so many capacities, and we still don’t know how to properly use them. It’s a shame….

Tried to charge us for a service we have not asked for

Stayed for 12 nights with group of around 20. Great place to stay, excellent food and taken extremely well care of. Owner was very humble and could not do enough to make our stay better. One of my best trips.

Great Hotel

I absolutely love this hotel. Best people, perfect ambiance, perfectly clean and beautiful view. Food is also awesome. Totally worth it for any kind of meetings, conferences or just for fun❤ Get there soon. 

Adorable place to stay

Alpina is an hotel with the great location, but unfortunately with very poor hospitality. I would recommend you to avoid this hotel if you want to spent relaxing time in Mavrovo... As Macedonian citizen, unfortunately I must spread bad words about this hotel. First at all, the price for staying in Alpina is very expensive compared with the service they offer to their guests. Also they don't provide all services that were listed in the NYE's offer. First we paid for the rooms with jacuzzi 10 more euros, but there was no jacuzzi, just a simple bath :), and same stains in the corners of the bath. :D... The second moment which was annoying was lack of information they gave us before about the breakfast and dinner, so once we did check in, they explained how the breakfast and the dinner don't include drinks, only a food. Although we paid around 40 euros for the NYE's party, we got only a buffet supper with very poor variety of a food, and we paid again 16 euros more for low quality wine, which usually costs around 7 euros. Regarding the staff, I must say that they were unpolite, nervous, impatient, and totally unaproachable all the time, so If you want to ask them for something, probably you will get uncompleted and rude reply. 
Despite the fact that Alpina's service was very bad, Mavrovo is a nice, cozy place, with beautiful nature and an amazing fresh air, so don't hesitate to visit it, you will love it, just choose another accomodation... simply skip this hotel. Enjoy Mavrovo. :)
