Thé staff was very friendly and the manager did their best to meet our needs. Probably one of the best hotel's in Bahir dar. Use the hotels to book your trip to the blue Nile Waterfall and the Tana lake tour.Don't use Salomon taxi service

I stayed 2 nights in this hotel. Free airport shuttle. Spacious room but very small toilet. Shower not enough to stand. Lobby is a place to relax and enjoy coffee ceremony or Buna in Amharic language. Very friendly staff and service. Breakfast is fine with many varieties of dishes as well as Papaya or Mango juice. The garden is excellent. You can hire a boat for a lake or just enjoy your coffee there. The WiFi is nice in lobby and restaurant while it’s a hell in the room. Overall, I enjoyed my 2 night stay here. Highly recommended after fixing the WiFi 

all comfortable, the spectacular scene of lake tana for me great gift from city of Bahir Dar with moment passing in breathing clean air unyieldable, intricate........ I advise for those to visit the city is best choice//

There was no sanitary items in the room and the power supply is very unstable.

Two days in Bahir Dar

Clean but the room is a little bit small

Well it started really ok. They were Nice and the view was beautiful.
The lobby and food and everything else was bad really bad.
We had money stolen 1670dollars the.
the manager(Hiwot). Even sugessted we were lying and we dident have money in our room.
We suggested if we could see the camera. Beacuse then we could see Who went in our room. she told us we could the next Day. 
We had stayed at another hotell beacuse we were tired of fighting with the Staff. 
While staying at the other hotell they told us that the camera had not worked there for 5 days.
We were told by the security manager that works at both hotels 
(they were really close) 
THE next Day she continued to lie and tell us that we could see it after 4-5 days, but the Day before she told us the camera erease after 72 hours.
Then we were told she had filed a complaint with the Police that we were scamming the hotell and Even heard rumors from Staff that she had acoused us of taking drugs. 
And that they should check our hotell room were we stayed
Before all this she had told us that there had not been an incident like this before money stolen etc. But the very next day we heard that several other costumers had also money stolen 
I recommende nobody that values there safty, money and there piece of mind to stay at that hotel.
THE worst  experience of it all is the hotell manager(hiwot) .
I have never in my life been treated like this by another human being knowingly lying and still after the truth has come out continuing lying.
Awfule human being sorry to say she should not work as a server let alone a GM. We traveled without seeing bahir Dar we did not feel secure being there beacuse of her. 
We had No intention of staying in prison oversees.

The worst hotel and Staff GM(hiwot) We ever have expirienced in our life

For my second stay at Grand I was very disappointed with the dishonesty of the staff (on top of sharing negative remarks made by previous customers). As I was able to demonstrate that one of the staff stole personal belongings in my bedroom, the general manager guaranteed he would return or reimburse the stolen assets - yet nothing was ever done. Keep away from the dishonest staff of this hotel.

No hot water especially early mornings! (I understand it could happen once or twice  but no excuse for a hotel this size )

Interrupted water ( no water running in few occasions).  We only stayed for 2 nights. 

No (terrible) wifi- Forget about 'good-wifi' couldn't even load pictures! 
No- electricity (most of the time and could face waiting around for the generator to start)If your room is in one of the top floors, be prepared for a hike and your card might not even work (another few floors to walk down and back up again). 

Extremely terrible staff and when asked to speak to the manager he wasn't willing to meet us and denied the lack of everything. 

Ordered coffee at the bar and I must say it was one of the worst I had! 

Overall the only reason you should go there is if you want to waste your time and money!  

DO NOT go there!!!!

Unprofessional and shamelful management!

I had a terrible experience at Grand Resort and SPA on 15 December, 2018. We booked a twin room online using hotels.com. When we arrived at the hotel the twin beds have very hard mattress. We asked for soft mattress but they didn't have one. Instead they gave us a room with King size bed. But we needed two beds and asked for an extra bed. They wouldn't let us have the extra bed without an additional charge of $30 on top of the $73 we paid for the twin bed. Although this is entirely the hotel's problem they wouldn't waiver the additional charge. We have to leave the hotel. The people at the reception desk have no idea of hospitality and how to treat customers. There are other excellent hotels in Bahir Dar and I don't recommend this hotel at all for visitors.

After two days we are steel wating for somebody to fix the shower.
We got stuck in the elavator and couldnt call for help becouse the alarm bell was not working.
Breakfasto.k if you are not looking for a big one.good coffee, omlet and local food.

Will not come back.

Poor maintenance, poor breakfast, poor service

Need immediate fix. Waiting staffs need special attention how to handle customers complain. Room & surrounding enviroment needs special treatment. Neeeed special management attention. Food quality is midcore
