Excellent food buffet-style, comfortable restaurant, very friendly and helpful staff. Not an architectural gem, located on a hill, a few steps to climb, lift usable but quite bumpy when it reaches the bottom.    

Great food

The accommodation at the Ascot was quite cheap so I didn't have high expectations. However my stay was much better than expected. The room was large with a magnificent sea view and an extra large bed. The ensuite had a bath as well as a shower. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfasts were magnificent. I had several different evening meals and although I was disappointed with one, the others were great. The only downside was that the window in the room was very draughty and the curtains were very thin, so didn't block out the light from the streetlights outside. But I was told there are plans in hand to upgrade the windows.

Excellent friendly accommodation 

From the minute we stepped off the ferry we did not see our luggage until we went to our hotel room where they were waiting for us.Our room was large, very clean and well maintained. The en-suite included a walk in shower which was great.The staff were friendly and efficient and nothing was too much bother for them. The choice of food at breakfast and dinner was excellent with quality and quantity was magnificent. The bar was well stocked and drinks were slightly cheaper than on the mainland.
My only slight complaint was that one window was damaged and could not be opened.
Our room was at the front of the hotel with a sea view, but it could be noisy at night time.

A welcoming hotel

This holiday was with the Rail Discoveries company. The hotel staff are exceptionally friendly, food is excellent with a wide choice for both breakfast and evening meal. Although the rooms are a little dated , they are large, very clean with towels renewed every day. Many of the party had sea views. 
It’s quiet and guests are well looked after. Nothing too much trouble.

Attention to detail in the hotel

I stayed at the Ascot Hotel for 10 days at the end of July. I have nothing but praise for the Hotel. 
The Staff are absolutely fantastic and extremely helpful and made our stay even more memorable. There is, of course the food. Breakfast is help yourself and the range available should satisfy most people. We decided to have evening dinner most nights ( for which there was an additional charge which was extremely reasonable) which was help yourself and great selection. My only complaint is that I have put on 5 lbs as a result. 
I cannot recommend the Hotel enough. The fact that the Hotel was recommended by an Isle of Man travel company will speak for itself.
I will certainly be staying at the Ascot Hotel again in the future.


Highly Recommended

This is a clean, comfortable hotel where we would definitely stay again. The food was of a high standard and the rooms adequatley furnished with all you could wish for. There is a good bar with a surprise-decent beer on draught. What a nice surprise. The staff are so helpful and very friendly making our stay a superb one. They are the icing on the cake.

3 star hotel with a 5 star heart.

I have stayed at The Ascot for the TT since 1990. Everything about it is excellent. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The food is really good from a full cooked Manx Breakfast buffet selection to cereals and healthy options as well. Evenings there is a buffet with plenty of choice. Always well cooked and very tasty. 

Best of all are the staff who are without exception friendly and helpful. Nothing is to much trouble. The atmosphere is like a family. You feel at home as soon as you arrive and are made very welcome. Thank you for looking after us so well. 

Can’t wait to be back for TT 2024.

Fabulous stay in a great hotel

Excellent stay, as always during TT23. The staff make the stay even more enjoyable, where nothing is too much trouble for them, from management all the way through. The room is excellent, and the great areas throughout the hotel are very clean and comfortable. It's always like revisiting family members, thank you all.

The very best hotel on the island. From the wonderful friendly staff (nothing was too much trouble). Spotlessly clean excellent food what more could you want. Will definitely be going back
