2$ a night! Insane value, bed good, lovely roommates.
Free breakfast??? Toast and coffee, delicious.
The lady at desk is very friendly.
They had a bar across the street where reception is, nice bar bit too loud.

The hostel location was great, easy get long distance bus.
The local  bus company  was just near by Pham Ngu Lao & De Tham road. 
The bus company :
1,Futa bus
2, Tam Hanh bus.
The 2 company ,give long distance to Hanoi,Danang,Nha Trang,Dalat and Muinee.

Cheap, perfect breakfast!

Value for money & good location for backpacker.

Stayed here for one night. Staff are clueless about checking-in online bookings and also hold passports throughout the stay. 

Booked a twin ensuite room but was given a double, no view from window, very dark.
.
AC was good but loud, walls and decor were very drab and dirty and the T.V. was older than I am and didn't work. Bedding was clean(ish) but didn't smell of any fragrance. Wi-Fi did work but was pretty slow.

This place is right at the heart of the party area of HCMC so be prepared for noise most of the night, if not from music then from people talking in the corridors outside the room. 

We heard security horror stories of passports going missing etc before booking but had no trouble getting them back. 

Would not go again as it felt depressing being in there but ideal if your on a super tight budget. We payed £7 GBP ($10 USD) per night with private toilet and shower.

Good location, a joke breakfast( water and sandwich), anyway what I paid what I get , all is worthy, I get dorm and next day I reserved budget room.

I been the hostel in april 2018

We’re surprised this place is still in business given the level of bad reviews. The woman at the reception desk was rude - not even a hello on arrival, only “money” to demand payment. She ignored us as we returned our key and did not say bye. She did not give us towels or breakfast even though these were included. 
The room was alright but nothing like the pictures advertised. There was a cigarette burn in the mattress and mud on the bathroom floor. Stay anywhere else in Ho Chi Minh, we are now at a new hostel which is so much nicer for the same price. 

Don’t stay here! Unfriendly and rude 

We booked our stay in this hostel because it looked pretty decent in the photos. However, my friend and I were terribly wrong. The receptionist was incredibly rude, the aircon did not work, and everything was dirty. There was even a cigarette hole in the sheets!

Whatever you do, DO NOT STAY HERE. You'd be wasting your money.

The only redeeming factor this hostel had was that the owner, an old lady, was friendly. But I really do recommend you booking your stay somewhere else even if it meant shelling out a couple of bucks. Trust me.

Absolutely HORRIBLE

We are 3 friends who book this hotel, the 3 bed room is on the top floor (6) with no elevator, the hostel was completely empty when we stayed there. They only had one towel to give us. The room was very small. The booking said that breakfast is included, but the breakfast is only 4 pieces of sliced bread with coffee in a plastic disposable cup, when we asked where we can sit to eat (there were no tables around) they pointed to the floor and said we can sit on the floor! No need to say that we stayed only one night....

One of the worst experience in Vietnam

We arrived having booked 2 double rooms. The receptionist then explained to us he only had 1 double room available and we only booked one we showed him the booking to which he then tried to put us in another room across the road . I asked to speak to manager and he said no and went to other hotel, removed other people’s luggage from the room and tried to get us to stay here. We kept asking for original rooms we had booked and paid for and they refused, we had to leave and find another hotel and they was not bothered at all. Avoid at all costs.

AWFUL.

DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOSTEL/RESTAURANT (la casa) We and 5 other people got robbed on the same night. One girl who saw the thief first run down to reception and they didn’t care at all. Cash, Credit cards and phones from different rooms and persons got stolen. The management didn’t care at all. I found my purse in the trash bin in the toilets.

STUFF MAKES BUSINESS WITH THIEFS

We arrived very tired at the hostel at 4 in the morning, they asked us to wait until 5 o'clock to check in. At 5 in the morning we did the check in, we paid the total reservation and then the receptionist asked for our passports, but not to take a copy, but to keep it until the day we left the hostel. We offered to take a photocopy, a photo, or leave another document as the national id. but they, by hostel rule, only receive people if they leave the passport withheld, which is illegal.
Therefore we had to go find another hotel at that time.
