Travelodge by Wyndham Tacoma Near McChord AFB

This is an older, no frills hotel but the management makes it a wonderful place to stay. When the front desk clerk found out I was traveling alone she carefully selected a second floor room on the back side of the building to provide me additional privacy and security. She walked me to my room, made sure I felt comfortable with it, and told me to call her at any time with any concerns. While there are a few people in the parking lot no matter the hour, I never felt uncomfortable because the lot is well lit, as are the walkways and staircases. My room was basic but scrupulously clean, as were the bed and bath linens. Housekeeping did a thorough job throughout my stay. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were soft. The room cooler didn't work the first night but it was fixed promptly after I reported it the next day. I very much appreciate the effort the entire staff makes to ensure that their guests feel well cared for and I'm looking forward to my next stay with them.
