Great experience and afordable. Would stay again.

Over all great experience, great stay! The view is/was AMAZING in October.

I've been here several times in the past and the last time was a few years before COVID hit. I was really amazed with all of the renovations made in and around the property. The lobby was very different than it had been years ago and the room was so much nicer than before. The staff was also very friendly. My favorite thing about this place is the view it has with the beautiful mountains right across the street from the motel. It was near peak season of autumn so the colors were so lovely. We had a very nice stay. I intend to come back again in the future.

It was a clean comfortable room!  Michelle was awesome but the direct TV service was unacceptable.  We could only get very basic channels!  Couldn’t even watch a ball game on TV!  The outside is run down quite a bit and in need of repair in many places.  Covid no longer an issue yet there was no breakfast offered and it is 10 miles from the nearest restaurant so that was inconvenient too!  Oh and the hotel sign kept flashing on n off and so we missed the turn once and went 10 miles out of our way and had to turn around!  Again nice little hotel but would not stay there again!

It was off the beaten path and the rooms were kept very well and staff helpful

I recently stayed at Countryside Inn and had a wonderful time. I was looking for a nice and quiet place, and that's exactly what I found. The views of the foliage were breathtaking, and the staff was very warm, welcoming, and attentive. However, I did have some issues with the cleanliness of the room. I felt that it could have been swept and mopped, and we did receive one towel that was stained. Despite this, the room was great, and the location wasn't too far from the town center.

The staff was friendly and accomodating. It is nestled on top of a hill with a superb view. The room was clean except for a few flies and some smoke emanating from the outside cigarette smoker. But this is some of the challenges of having a room you enter from outside, so i did not see this as overly problematic. While I had a few issues with the phone, microwave and light, I would say overall the room had what it needed. The staff was an easy call away on thebphone in the registration area and always answered with a smile thorough the phone and in person. For limited hotels in the area, this is a place I would return to due to it's close proximity to the college and highway.

We picked this location for its proximity to Cooperstown. The room was good & very clean. The only issue we had was it took almost 20 minutes to get any hot water in the sink or shower. We were up & on the road early, so that may have factored into this issue. We would give this location another try.

NICE LOTTLE HOTEL W/NO AMENITIES!

We really liked our stay at the Countryside Inn. The bed was so comfortable that I didn't even want to go home to my memory foam mattress. I loved the faux fur throw on there!! It was a really quiet, peaceful stay. We did find a little mold on our window sill and on the shower curtain, but the front desk was quick to give us an extra cleaning before we got settled in. Our shower also leaked which is probably what caused the mold. The place is older, but it's clean and peaceful. We would definitely stay here again and we are quite picky on hotels.

The Countryside Inn was nice, clean with comfortable beds.  This is an older, non-chain hotel which could use some updating but provided a nice place to stay for the night.  The room was simple but spacious enough and provided a coffee maker and microwave (no fridge).  Check in was quick and staff (Michelle) very friendly.  She gave is dinner recommendations and directions.Overall,  it was very nice and convenient for our 1 night stay.

Simple but nice and clean.

Stayed overnight for son’s graduation from SUNY Cobleskill. Convenient location with easy access off the highway and direct road from hotel into town. Room was clean and updated. Even though it’s right off the highway, no road noise was heard. Room came with mini fridge which was great for storing drinks and snacks. Gas station convenience store right below hotel was also a perk. Staff was friendly and no issues with check-in. Place was quite and we didn’t hear any noise from neighboring rooms. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!!

I stayed for one night which also happened to be the coldest night of the year. The heat in the room worked really well, but unfortunately the cold did affect the hot water, as in there was none in my room.  Staff did try to fix it, but you just can't fix mother nature. They did give me a key to a different room to try and that one did have some hot water.  My room was on the first floor so there was some noise from upstairs but not too bad.  The room was cheap and clean.  I would definitely stay here again.

Clean room

I was very happy with my stay at Countryside Inn.  I found it to be a good value for being near downtown Cobleskill and route 88, etc.  My room was very clean and quiet and the staff was friendly so I would stay here again.  It would've been nice if they offered hot coffee in the lobby in the mornings but other than that everything was great.
