Josh was a great horseback trail guide with emphasis on safety and care for the horses.  Also, he was very hospitable and knowledgable about the surroundings and horses in general.  We would ask if Josh is available for any future outings.  He made our experience a joyful one.

This might be one of the best vacation experiences ever. We stayed 3 nights during the Cowgirl Cadillacs horse sale and the staff were 5 stars all the way. They were funny and engaging and bent over backwards to make you feel at home. The cook even delivered hot chocolate chip cookies right out of the oven to our room! We were on a girls trip but I would take my family there in a heartbeat. We loved the rustic charm that made you feel like you were literally stepping back in time. If you’re looking for a plush spa vacation, this isn’t it. But if you want an authentic Dude ranch experience then Flying E has you covered. Just be weary if you don’t eat meat…

I recently attended Cowgirl Weekend.  The weekend far exceeded my expectations!  Zoey and Matt lead our rides.  They were supportive, knowledgeable, friendly, and fun!  These weren’t your ordinary flat, in the ruts, rides.  We went up steep hills, across open land, sometimes blazing new trails.  Super fun!! All skill levels will enjoy the rides.  If you have chance, you have to take a side x side ride with Andy.  He will keep you laughing for hours!  He’s experienced enough to keep you safe, but adventurous enough to keep your heart pumping!  Let’s talk about the food!  Randy can whip you up the best cowgirl breakfast, eggs, biscuits, wiggly or crispy bacon, pancakes, you name it! Lunches and dinners did not disappoint.  The dining room is perfect for sharing stories and getting to know your fellow riders. The rooms are rustic, cozy.  You have everything you need, and I suspect if you were missing something they would round it up for you quickly. Josh and the entire team made the weekend fun and filled with things to do.  My only, tiny, less than perfect comment would be the fact we never received an itinerary in advance.  That caused 3 of us to check in late and miss the first ride. But the hospitality made up for that.  I will go again in 2026!

The band I tour with stayed at the Flying E Ranch while playing a show in Wickenburg.  While the rooms are dated, the experience was great!  It’s a great spot for an authentic ranch-style experience.  I didn’t drop a star on the rating because the rooms made it more authentic.  

The hospitality was stellar.  Randy, our chef for the stay, greeted us as we arrived and made sure everything was taken care of.  We ate like kings for every meal.  The entire staff was great! 

We had some free time in the morning and opted for a trail ride.  Zoe and Matt were our guides and they did a wonderful job.  The guys were talking about the trail ride for the entire trip.  I would definitely visit again if I were vacationing in the area with my family.  They have lots of activities that are unique to that area.  

It was a great break from the normal hotel stays we usually have.

We were guests at The Flying E Dude Ranch for two weeks during our residency at the Del E Webb Center For the Perfoming Arts.
The atmosphere, the food, the friendliness and, most especially, the service couldn’t have been better.
Randy and Jessie and Angie and Andy and everyone we encountered that worked at the ranch were wonderful.

Absolutely recommend this dude ranch for a unique and relaxing experience, with or without the kids. 

My husband and I spent a weekend at the Flying E Ranch for our honeymoon. The entire staff made this a truly amazing time. Ranch manager, Josh, was welcoming and thoughtful…he made sure that we were extremely well taken care of. Enjoyed a couple great trail rides with Jeff & Janet and with the OG Rick. Rick H was fantastic cook and we appreciated how accommodating he was to my dietary needs. Lisa made check in and out a breeze. 

Across the property you’ll find tons of activities to keep the kids engaged, too (life-size chess, horseshoes, billiards table, ping pong, foosball, heated pool). They’ve really thought of every detail. 

Can’t wait for our next stay. And in the meantime we’ll be back for more trail rides!

If you’re looking for an amazing experience, to meet amazing friends this is the place to go. I spent a wonderful four days attending Cowgirl weekend. The staff is phenomenal, accommodations are beautiful and well maintained. The horses are some of the best trail horses you will ever find.

I Took my granddaughter who has been riding for years for a ride, also to see our beautiful desert.  Rick D was great, and showed her a wonderful time. He is a lot of fun, and ever took the time to help grandpa on his ride.

Absolutely amazing time at a cowgirl weekend. The entire experience was epic. From the staff and the rooms to the horses and the trails. The food was amazing. I can not say enough amazing things about this place! I will be back in March for the cattle drive, so I can share this place with my husband.

This was a dream come true. The owner and wranglers and staff were truly Amazing. They went way above and beyond my expectations. I have always wanted to go stay somewhere like this and what a remarkable experience. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The rooms were so adorable and cozy. The food was amazing and the best entertainment I have seen in a long time. I will definitely be making this a monthly visit. Thank you everyone.

Best Experience Ever 

The atmosphere is rustic and very nice.  The cabins are quaint.  The heater in the room is a bit hard to figure out, but works sufficiently. We were there for the February "Cowgirl Weekend".  There were plenty of activities planned, but it was unfortunate that the coordination of the event was lacking.  There was a paper agenda, but line items didn't say where to meet, nor was there a map layout of the ranch so that you knew where everything was.  For an event like this, someone from the office staff at the Ranch should have been assigned to be at every activity, providing up-to-date information, and keeping things closer to schedule. At times there was no one to be found to answer our questions. There was a nice barbecue on Saturday evening where everything was outdoors.  The ranch hands did their best to try to find propane to get a heater going when we asked for one, but outdoor heaters and/or firepits should have been set up and running before everyone arrived, as this winter has been colder than normal.  The horseback rides were amazing and the Ranch Hands/Wranglers were very helpful and knowledgeable.  The kitchen staff was beyond accommodating - preparing special requests and providing more than enough food.  All-in-all I would recommend this ranch, even though I also recommend that for future events there is a more coordinated effort.

Great Ranch Staff but events need more coordination

Went on their cowgirl weekend for the very first time.   Overall - Loved the weekend - it awesome to meet new people but there was an absolute disconnect when it came to certain activities.   The itinerary was full but did not have a lot of direction as to where to meet for certain activities and since it was our first time we had to just wing it which was not cool. The last night they had an outdoor BBQ -  it was called for at 6:30  -  we had zero idea where we were supposed to go.  Everyone was wondering around the flag pole trying to figure it out and no one there to ask or to take us down to where it was.   Needless to say - we just walked in the freezing cold weather and got down there... NOTHING was set up.   No heaters, no one at the bar.   Where was someone to coordinate this!  We were so cold  - we couldn't really enjoy our meal so we found one of the wranglers to take us back to the the lodge area.    Otherwise - the wranglers were AMAZING.   I hadn't ridden a horse in over 20 years and I was a little freaked but they were right there making sure I was fine on the trail ride.   Rick, Janet & Jeff were awesome!!!   Both Ray & Tony - the chefs- were so accommodating.    -  Just think the office needs to do a better job with communication!

Cowgirl Weekend

City girls went country!  Two friends and I came across the Flying E Ranch and their "Cowgirl Weekend" while searching for places to go horseback riding.  We had a BLAST! From horseback riding to axe throwing, roping, horseshoe throwing, archery, and the side-by-side ride to the mine - every activity was more fun than the last.  The wrangler's (Janet, Rick, Brandon, Jaimie, and Jeff) were so patient and nice.  The chef's Ray and Tony made sure that everyone were never hungry!  The only complaint I have is the lack of organization for some of the events.  We were given an itinerary, however, as first timers, we didn't know where to meet for the activities.  On our final night, it was a barbecue and live music - this year was unusually cold and it would have been nice to have had some heaters down at Duke's Saloon to keep us warm.  Overall it was a great time and we're already planning on going back next February!
