Everything was great. The breakfasts were all delicious and more than enough food for two people. I stayed in the Rail Tail Room which was on the ground floor. Worked great for my Spiritual Getaway. I thoroughly enjoy walking the Heritage Rail Trail each morning. The Inn Keeper was supper friendly and accommodating to my needs.

Jackson House was a great experience.  The proprieters, Damon and Amanda were very personable  and informative.  Breakfast was more than enough and they accomodated our need for Celiac friendly food.  As hoped, a lot of visiting and chatting took place which made us feel both comfortable with our hosts as well as able to navigate the biking trrails, restaurants, numerous breweries and other places of interest.   Jackson House was pretty central to it all and 50 feet form the Freedom Trail.  Will be going back.

We enjoyed a great stay at the Jackson House B&B. The room was nice, the hosts were fantastic and super helpful. We were looking for a respite from the usually crowded and crazy summer spots and this gem, and the area it is located in, fit the bill perfectly. We only wished we'd planned a longer stay.

We came to do bike rides on the Heritage Trail, so the location was perfect. Our room was nicely furnished and comfortable, and our host--Damon--was very gracious. He gave us a delicious breakfast and answered all our questions about the area. We plan to come back again!

The location to the rail trail is great, the hot tub worked perfectly, there are nice restaurants nearby, the breakfast was excellent, and the host was gracious and accommodating.  The price is reasonable, and the whole place was welcoming and clean.

Our stay at Jackson House was wonderful! It is evident that our hosts really enjoy what they do. They checked off the boxes for guest comfort and then went over the top with some extras: fresh baked cookies & drinks available all day, an alarm clock/phone charger combo, elevated soaps and toiletries, a good quality mattress with a variety of pillows for personal preference.
We also appreciated the time that our host took in visiting with us . . . and don't get us started on how delicious the breakfast was!

New beds, comfortable and clean accommodations. Nicely decorated historic house. The location is beautiful and quiet. The breakfast is out of this world. I enjoyed an egg frittata and sausage bread with fresh fruit, coffee, etc.  I felt right at home with bottled waters and homemade cookies provided. The host/hostess are very nice and accommodating and enjoyable to chat with. There is a large frig you can store your travel food in as well. Don’t forget to get a beautiful coffee mug which is available in many colors done by a nice pottery place (I now have four of them). This was my second visit and will be back again!  It’s a little out of the way for where I am traveling to, but it’s so worth it. Also, the rate is very reasonable for what you get. I did not use the hot tub this time, but that’s a plus for tired muscles traveling long distances. And,  if you have a dog, you can stay in one of the rooms by the hot tub that is separate from the house (quite convenient). I highly recommend this B&B!

History and modern comfort perfectly blended! Amanda and Damien welcomed us like old friends and accommodated our early arrival . The rooms were pristine and offered WiFi, TV and quaint bathroom. All while furnishing with beautiful antiques and flavor of old.  Our stay was complete with a generous and perfectly prepared breakfast! We definitely recommend!!

Very cool house (hotel) built in 1859. Innkeepers were accommodating. Very ample and delicious breakfasts. Complimentary beverages. Extremely comfortable bed. Located adjacent to rail trail - will bring our bikes on next visit. And swimsuits for hot tub.

Very Nice Location.   Hot tub was hot.  Room was clean and neat.
Overall location was very nicely decorated.  We were in the Stonewall Jackson Room.
FYI The Breakfast was to die for.   Very fresh, very yummy.

The owners were great!  Welcoming, helpful and friendly. 
The room was beautiful and had all we needed right down to the lighted make-up mirror. 
The bed was incredibly comfortable and cozy, and being able to use the parlor next door was so relaxing.  The only thing I would add to the room is a vanity stool.  
Our breakfast was amazing and there was plenty of it!   Looking forward to going back some day! 

First Time at a B&B

My husband and I came here right after our wedding since it was one of the closest stays to our venue (who wants to go to hampton inn after they get married amiright?) So in all my googling I found this super cute b&b! Now we might not be the best b&b guests because we don't wake up early enough to even eat breakfast but we still wanted to go to this cute, quant place! We rented the cottage room which is separate from the main house. It has a gas fireplace, two recliners, a mounted tv, and a jacuzzi tub. We relaxed and unwound for two days and loved every minute. Never doubt the revitalizing effect a fireplace has. We briefly interacted with the owner and he was super kind and accommodating. 15/10 recommend this b&b! 

Wonderful experience!

The building is a former hotel of the civil war era... Lovely back garden and breakfast was served in a very period dinning room setting... Our room was small and very cozy, with the most OUTSTANDING and comfortable bed ever. This was mentioned in the description and lived up to the hype... The most lovely aspect of a delightful stay was the home cooked 5 star breakfast, cooked and served by our host!! If you are looking for a safe well attended overnight accommodations with the added warmth of a caring and particular host, we suggest this welcoming spot.

We loved our stay at the Jackson house.  Damon’s food was outstanding. the room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable.  Amanda and Damon were very welcoming and answered all our questions.  the proximity to the railroad trail for biking or walking, could not have been better.  Damon gave us great recommendation for the pub 7!  if we could you give me the rating of 4.5 out of five we would have.
