It started with the front desk attendant who didn't say a word when I walked in - he just sat there, staring blankly at me.  I guess some hospitality is too much to expect from someone working in the... 'hospitality' business. 

Anyway, after that, it was all downhill from there: 

- The room smelled SATURATED with Pledge wood cleaner
- Cable box outlet attached to the wall was rusting
- Stains (red?...) on both a pillowcase, and the bedsheet
- An adhesive UPC label still attached to one of the towels (hey, I guess I could rest assured they were new)
- Room doors that  *SLAMMED* shut if you opened them too far and let go
- The most paper-thin walls I've ever experienced in a motel

My plan was, after an early bedtime, to get up and hit the road around 3 AM.  After barely 4 hours of sleep, someone's room door SLAMMED shut - it was so loud, for a few moments I honestly thought a firearm had been discharged in a nearby room.

When I came to my senses, it was 1 AM, on a MONDAY morning... and the 3 bikers next door were laughing and partying and carrying on.  I could make out almost every single word they were saying.  The noise was far too much for me to go back to sleep, so I packed up and left, eager to leave.  

Before I left, I dropped by the front desk to get a paper receipt of my bill.  Of course nobody was there, so I pressed the "ring for assistance" button and waited several minutes.  After pressing the button multiple times... would you like to guess whether or not anyone showed up to help me?

Lesson learned: STICK TO NAME BRANDS WHEN TRAVELLING. 

I paid $90 for a $50 room.

“Room was good, nice beds. Had our dog...big field out back to walk him. Good morning hot breakfast and coffee! Very convenient location by gas stations and many places to eat.” we will defiantly come back

Great Hotel Huge Rooms

My husband booked this place as we were driving home from vacation. Carpet on stairs is so dirty it was black. Smelled awful. Room not much better. Cigarette burns in comforter, stains on pillow cases. Security lock did not work. It was so bad we immediately left and drove on to St. Louis. We are out what we paid for the room but we were not going stay in a dump.

Dirty and smelly. Stay elsewhere.

This is by FAR one of the worst hotels I've every seen.  I did not stay here.  I spent only 5 minutes in the room with my son who has asthma and the room was so dusty and filty it set him off into an asthma attack.  This hotel is detrimental to your health stay away. I do not have any allergies and it was making me itch.  Everything had half an inch of a layer of dust on it.  The whole place hasent been cleaned in a long time.  Very Very bad place.   When i asked for my money back the person at the desk gave me attitude and insisted that the place was cleaned.  But look at the pictures i have attached.  He was SO rude and he didnt give a S*** that my son was having an medical issue.  And he kept 20 dollars from  me to change the sheets even though I was never on them.  Who ever the manager is should be ashamed of themselves for allowing a place like this to stay open..  I will be calling the health department and filing a formal complaint.  And if my son needs to be seen in a hospital I will be filing a law suit. This hotel injured my son.  It is ok to be a cheaper hotel, but there is no reason to be dirty.

Filthy and Dirty!  Disgusting and Rude!!!

Rooms dirty, we booked in late, outside doors did not lock, did not feel safe, we left the place. we booked two rooms and bother were the same....there is an alley close by and the outside doors did not lock anyone could walk into the place

do not pass go, do not collect you 200.00  just do not come to this hotel...

Clean motel, spacious bathroom, gas station, shops and restaurants, ideal for a night out, more than a decent breakfast, friendly staff, recommended.

Reviews were so mixed we weren’t sure to stay but there are not many options around here, where we needed to stop. 
     Finding the driveway to get in:  no one mentioned how hard it is to get into the motel, you need to turn into the Phillips 66 station as there is no drive from Main Street. The sign outside says, “Enter through store.” What store?i asked the lady this morning and she said, the convenience store in the gas station.  It is such a big Phillips 66 station you don’t even think it’s the “store” they’re talking about.  We did think of that, but then thought if it was, the sign would say Gas Station, or the street name. . 
       Booking:  apparently they don’t take credit cards at the front desk: everything is booked online through the travel sites. We went through Travelocity.  
     But still the young man that checked us in took a long time to find our reservation.
      Price: the front desk lady in the morning said she didn’t t even know how much it was to stay here ( since everything was handled offsite/online. ) That said, it is WAY overpriced !  However, given the number of motels (very few) in the town and close areas, that may be justified. 
      Breakfast was better than the worse we’ve seen but did have eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, yoghurt, and cereal. No decaf coffee. The food items are right in the office but an attached room has tables and chairs. 
      We slept really well and felt comfortable in the morning. 
     We did smell a musty? smell in the room upon arrival but turned on the AC to try to clear it out. In the morning, at 8, there was no smell in the hallway but at 8:15 it smelled like someone was cooking ... curry? hard to tell. 
   No, were not coming back .

Well.... they’re trying 

Bathroom sink didn’t have running water and we had to use the tub to wash our hands and used our drinking water to brush our teeth. The cold water faucet in the shower was backwards. The water didn’t stay warm and the towels and wash cloths felt like sandpaper. There were stains all over the floor. We definitely don’t recommend staying here. Keep on driving down the road. This was my worst motel experience.

While booking the room,we thought we were getting a good value.  After making the reservation and staying at the hotel, it was not worth what we paid.  We got a room on the second floor with a bed whose mattress was on slats and not on a box spring.  This made the bed very uncomfortable.  The hotel also only had one ice maker on the ground floor.  We originally booked the ground floor but got room on second floor.  we also had issues with the shower.  The shower would never get to the temperature you wanted and pulsed between hot and cold.  While it was a hotel we did stay at and pay for, it was not worth the money paid.

Hotel Not as Expected

Though the lobby is nothing fancy to look at, the room was large, clean and nicely decorated.Besides a dresser and desk, the room also had a refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom looked like it had been renovated and was very clean. Though close to the interstate (which made it easy to find and get in and out), the room I was in was very quiet. The breakfast was good - the usual for this grade of motel. And the price was great - <$75 with tax!
