much better inside than appears from freeway.  nice landscaping too as you enter.  room modern, bed comfortable.  someone has paid attention to making this good.  no toiletries.  staff very accommodating.  general restaurant good basic food.

Located adjacent to the I-5 at the top of the Grapevine, this comfortable, basic motel is a reasonable place to rest. It has 2 decent restaurants in the building and road noise is not a problem. The room had only one chair, but the bed was comfortable. The price was right.

surprisingly good for just a wayside.

Good, basic overnight

The wireless internet did not work as advertised.  I was unable to log in despite many efforts and several calls to the front desk.  Staff blamed the fire in the next county even though the front desk had a connection.  I had no problems with internet service at hotels in San Diego the same morning and tonight in Yreka.

So, I got stuck due to snow and had to stay here.  Never, do I stay at a Motel 6, I will keep driving!  Interestingly enough, it was very clean, not ran down, no bad smells, very clean laminate flooring and appliances in the kitchenette looked fairly new.  Very quiet with no disturbances.
THE BEST PART?  I STAYED IN THE SAME ROOM THAT WAS USED IN THELMA AND LOUISE!
I knew they had filmed at this location but asked which room.  It is 222.  Just a fun trivia thing!

Thelma and Louise

This is one depressing motel.  The lobby is devoid of any character and the rooms have nothing on the walls - talk about depressing.  The "window" is a sliding glass door that opens onto a tiny deck, which in our room was falling apart. If you keep the door open for fresh air, anyone can walk in off the street.   I must admit the room was clean, but scuff marks on walls and doors doesn't leave a very good impression.  The water was hot and the wifi worked well, but my wife was totally creeped out by the entire place.  Needless to say, we would not return.

Push on and pick a hotel/model 5 miles further on

The absolute worst. Desk manager couldn't figure out how to separate bill, looked in a book, said he couldn't figure it out, asked me "Why can't you just pay your friend back?" Really? Asked where we wanted to park, if we parked on street do we carry a bat? (Wow) Got to a room reserved for 4, only 1 coffee packet, called front desk, no one ever answered. Called front desk next morning, new person, I asked if we could get some more coffee packets, again was asked, "Why can't someone come down and get them?" Now I'm really mad and said, "because I'm a guest and we are trying to get ready, someone needs to bring them." If he had said they were very busy or maybe he was alone, I would have understood, but nothing. Very low water pressure in shower, 1 soap. Didn't even bother to try and ask for at least another. Go down to check out the following morning, the desk clerk from check in is so asleep he doesn't wake when we cough or clear our throats, yes I have a picture. I finally say excuse me and he wakes. I tell him we are checking out and ask him on the bill why it say Folio Balance $110.00?, Not sure what that is as we had to pay upfront at check in. He says its the balance from the room from Saturday, that's how the system does it.  What? I said that doesn't make any sense, and can I have a new receipt that shows the correct amount. He does give me a new one that shows the correct amount. 
Will never stay there again.

Do NOT stay here!

First thing we noticed was after checking in was that the hallway smelled like cat pee! We went to bring our things from the rear door and found it doesn't even latch! So much for a secure feeling! There was dog vomit, or "something" on the hallway carpet by our room! (See pic) The towels were thin and tiny, shower safety bar had chrome chipped and worn off and had a rough feel and weird yellow color. (Brass underneath?) Bathroom light was dark, only one bulb in a 3 bulb fixture, mirror was worn, and water spotted, and chrome tissue hold looked like someone sneezed all over it! Mattress bottoms were hanging down, thin blanket/bed cover and the bottom sheet was a flat sheet that was not even tucked so we fought with them staying on all night! Two tiny, flat pillows per bed. The headboard, baseboards, vents, and a/c-heater, were all filthy dirty! Didn't trust water, asked...no bottled water available. Ice machine looked gross! Never staying there again!  $85/night?!
