It's the perfect hotel we've lived in since this trip; we will order from here once the second comes.

This family owned property was well kept, clean and comfortable. This is a great place to stay with close proximity to Yellowstone NP.

The young men at the front desk were very organized and friendly during our entire stay!

Better value and services than inside Yellowstone

Very helpful front desk staff!  Great elk heard on the front lawn next to the parking lot!

Clean room and nice lobby I just wish they have a free breakfast for the price we paid for our stay.

Bed was so comfy!! Shower was hot and strong, coffee was good! Liked how close to an exit our room was in order to bring belongings in. Nice to have a fridge too! Highly recommend. Cute decor!

Not worth the price. The best thing about this hotel was the proximity to the park. There was a small window that was up high gave the view of the side of a hill. The whole hotel was right against a small mountain m, so their mouthing view wax literally staring right at the side of the mountain. The shower was old and outdated. The room was small. The whole hotel needs a make over.

Yellowstone

Excellent hotel, perfect place to stay before or after a Yellowstone adventure / exploration.Very quiet, comfortable, super-clean, and excellent staff.Josh was at the front desk, he is smart and helpful and friendly, this place is VERY nice, and I'll stay here for sure again next time I'm in the area. Our stay at the Yellowstone Village Inn & Suites was enjoyable, comfortable, & clean. It is a family owned business with that personal touch! Josh was very friendly & his friend Houston were helpful with local recommendations in town & the local area. Being approximately 1 mile from the North gate entrance to Yellowstone made our daily excursions to the park very convienent. If your looking for that family atmosphere Yellowstone Village Inn & Suites is the best choice to make.

The Yellowstone Village Inn is a clean and convenient location 5 minutes from the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park.  The owners are kind and helpful with anything you need.  The Wonderland Cafe and the coffe truck across the street are both great options.  We would definitely recommend the property and would stay again ourselves.

Hotel and property was very well maintained and clean. We were given a tip sheet of local places for eating and shopping on our arrival.   Staff was very friendly and helpful.  It was the best hotels we stayed at on our 9 day road trip.  We even saw elk playing on the lawn and eating leaves close to the  hotel.  We would definitely stay here again

Very nice place to stay

I spent two nights at Yellowstone Village Inn with my kids, which was wonderful. The staff was kind and friendly, and the room was clean. It has great access to the North Gate of Yellowstone National Park and several restaurants within walking distance. My kids were excited about the indoor pool and deer in the parking area.

What a great stay we had here, we’ll be raving about it amongst ourselves for a while. It’s an amazing property. The pool is great. The Elks come here on the lawn to dine on the grass. The views both front and back are amazing. It’s super clean, staff is friendly. The rooms have all things well thought out.

I had been to Gardiner a few times over the years, but missed this one on previous searches.  I liked the price, so I decided to give it a try and was very impressed.  From the outside, it looks pretty good, but nothing to get really excited about.  Inside they have really paid attention to detail, and it looks more like a high-class resort, especially the lobby area.  Rooms were large enough with a very comfortable bed and very quiet.  Very clean too.  Nice view from the parking lot so you do feel as if you are not in town.  I give them 5 stars for overall value.

unexpected surprise

We enjoyed our stay here after touring Western Yellowstone all day.  Our plan was to travel over the Northern section of the park and the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone the next day and this was the perfect location.  They have comfortable rooms, friendly staff and a really cute lobby area decorated to reflect the area perfectly.  We enjoyed a great restaurant very close by that evening.  It's an excellent choice in this region.

Great location for North Western Yellowstone

We splurged slightly on this stay and booked only about a month before, after changing our Yellowstone itinerary slightly for convenience factors.

In retrospect, since it was only for the one night, I wish we'd gone a little more budget, however it was a quiet, pleasant stay and the property is very clean and well cared for.

PROS:

~Very clean and well maintained hotel.

~Complimentary coffee/tea/water off the lobby.

~Complimentary ample parking.

~Quiet. The hallways and stairs are thickly carpeted, which was great for deadening the sound of footsteps. 

~Fairly standard motel style room with fridge, flat screen TV, complimentary mini toiletries, hairdryer (and a 'real key'!)

~'Cozy' feel and a very 'Yellowstone' theme with historic pictures on the hallway walls, animal heads and a stone fireplace in the lobby and lots of wood architecturally. 

~Friendly guy on the front desk when we checked in, although we didn't see many (mabye one?) staff members after that. 

~A/C and heat in the room.

~Good location within short driving  distance to Yellowstone north entrance (5 min) and nearby restaurants, grocery stores and hot springs in Gardiner. 

~Small dining area where you can use the microwave and toaster for your own food. (Unfortunately, breakfast was not included as of Aug '23).

~Pool on site -- unfortunately during our one-night stay we didn't get time to use it as we went to the nearby hot springs pools instead. 

CONS:

~A bit expensive for what you get. I felt for the price that breakfast should have been included. It seems they used to serve it, but no longer do. We bought a few items at the local grocery store and used the small seating area off the lobby to eat breakfast. 

~When we arrived we accidentally went up the wrong driveway next door, which was a private residence -- I wonder how many people have done that?! Perhaps slightly better signage would help. Not a big deal, but annoying when you're tired and it's the end of the day and you just want to get to your hotel. 

~I wish the pool hours were expanded -- the pool didn't open until 9am. I would have preferred 6am or 7am opening in order to get a swim in before departing. 

~Everything was fine, but I felt it lacked a certain 'something' and didn't give me the 'warm fuzzies'. Due to the fact it was a family run place, I was expecting a little more 'bespoke' and more of a bubbly atmosphere, but it felt a little flat, not much different from a big chain motel/hotel. Maybe I read too much into reviews. Again, it was fine, but I'm not sure it warranted the $285 w/tax that we paid for one night. (Aug '23) I do realize it's a high tourist area and in this post-Covid world, prices unfortunately seem to have sky-rocketed. 

Ultimately, it was a pleasant stay in a convenient location. 

Note: I recommend the Wonderland Café for dinner. (A short drive or 20 min walk from the Yellowstone Village Inn).
