Horrible.  Filthy.   Smells.  Staff could not even give directions to hotel.   I thought 2 Star would be adequate for one night.  Wrong. Disgusting.  Worried all night about our safety.   3 cop cars, ambulance in front of hotel in am.   Breakfast is non existent joke.    We didn't even bother, hotel so filthy.   Slept in our clothes.   Should be one star, if that.   Would never never go there again, even if last hotel in the state of Kentucky.

Horrible.  Do not stay here.  Dirty. Non-smoking room smells of smoke.  Lobby filthy.   Outside full of smokers.

We were traveling home from a weekend boat trip, and it was getting late.  We were pulling our boat, so parking for our vehicle was a priority! Baseball and softball tournaments had all the hotels in the previous towns booked up, so we continued north.  This was the first hotel that we came to that had ample parking and a vacancy.  We should have checked the rooms first, but we were all tired and just wanted to stop for the night. The carpets in the hallway was our first indication that this place was a little run down! Spider in the bathroom sink, bed sheets were stained and had holes.  Tub, toilet and sink very old and chipped.  When we turned on the bathroom fan, dead bugs fell out onto the toilet seat! We had a microwave and fridge, but you couldn't have paid me enough money to use them!  The room was VERY musty and smelled awful of smoke. (We supposedly had a non-smoking room)  the only way we could stand the smell was to keep the A/C turned up on high and keep the air circulating.  The only positives about this hotel was the price, the A/C worked good and I haven't had that good of water pressure in a hotel in a long time. There was only one bath towel in the room when we got there, so we had to go to the front desk and request another one. The towels were thread-bare and barely the size of a face towel, certainly not a bath sized towel.   The next morning as we were getting ready to leave, my husband pulled back the drapes and discovered that our window didn't even lock!  They have sliding windows and the "lock" was a wooden dowel in the bottom slide, but our wooden dowel was broken in half and didn't even "lock" the window.  I would say this hotel is in serious need of some updates... carpet (both in the hallways and the rooms) bed sheets (having holes and stains is unacceptable) towels, windows, tub and shower.  I could list tons more.  Also, they need to hire a better cleaning staff.  Bugs falling out of the ceiling fan, spiders in the sink, 1/4" thick dust on the shower surround and behind the bathroom door is not clean, it is disgusting!  Corporate needs to know that this location is NOT being managed very well.

Dirty, stinky and scary??

Okay... I admit it, I booked a night at this hotel because I was traveling alone, I'm not picky and they were inexpensive.  Boy what a MISTAKE.  The absence of A/C in the worn out front office (no real lobby) and the bullet-proof glass at the counter should have been enough to send me packing down the street to the Days Inn but I figured how bad can this place actually be?  Well let me list a few things:  Mold in the bathroom, broken and stained ceiling tiles, new but stained towels, barely draining sink (I used bottled water to brush my teeth), door to room would barely latch, the bed only had a stained and burned fitted sheet and a bedspread (no top sheet or blanket).  I reluctantly removed my shoes and laid down on the bed fully clothed for a few hours.  I did this partly because I wanted minimum contact with it and partly I thought I may have to run out into the parking lot to chase off vandals from breaking into my vehicle.  The room was a smoking room so I won't complain about the odor.  The rear door to the hotel had a sign that said it was for exit only and was not for reentry but there wasn't even a lock on it.  People came and went from it all night.  Did I mention the sticker on the bathroom mirror with the 1-800 number and website for reporting human trafficking?  I could continue but if your not convinced to look elsewhere by now I wish you a pleasant stay.  Like I said, I'm not picky and I've stayed at a LOT of hotels for both business and pleasure over the last 40 years including hostels in Europe.  Without reservation I can say this Americas Best Value Inn - Frankfort was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.  I don't even feel that a major renovation could salvage this property.  I think it should be bulldozed.  If you're wondering why I didn't simply ask for my money back and go to another hotel... well I'm wondering that myself.  Live and learn.  I'm sure that this property is not representative of all America's Best Value Inn hotels but I think that the corporate office should look into this property for compliance to their company policies.

I am very upset with my VERY brief stay!

The lobby smelled of cigarette smoke and the first floor hall carpet was old and buckled so I worried that my husband (in a walking boot) would have a tripping hazard. I walked into my room to find the lights and TV were on and wondered if someone was already checked into this room. My non smoking room had a smoke odor because a smoking room was located just across the hall! The room was furnished with older furniture(i.e. mattress sets were firm and worn out with two very sad excuses for pillows), old television with the picture tube definitely going on it, old window A/C units, also the bathroom was very old in appearance and sparsely supplied. There was a "breathe right" strip stuck to the bedside table and there was sand or something similar in the sheets on the bed, so I question how clean the room really was and was afraid to touch things -- jerm-wise. To say it  was noisy is an understatement. I fell asleep about 10:00 PM and was woken up by very noisy upstairs neighbors - it sounded like a wrestling match. I physically went to the front desk at 1:00 AM and there was no one at the desk.  I walked back to my room and called at 1:15 AM  to complain about the noise and was told they would "take care" of the noise, which stopped for 10 minutes and started back up again!  So after 1 hour of sleep, we left the hotel at 1:45 AM and told the desk clerk (who was busy entertaining 2 people inside the plexi- glass area) that it was too noisy and the worse hotel experience to only receive a half hearted "oh, I'm sorry".  I am very dissatisfied and feel like this was the biggest waste of money and will never stay at an Americas Best Value Inn ever again!!! NEVER WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL FOR ANYONE!!!

WORST EVER!

We didn't even book the room. The guy who answered call was creepy enough to scare me off!!!  I've never been put off over the phone, but he was really odd! When i asked if we could book a room, long hesitation,  and he said " i guess if you want to"...i said NOPE and hung up.
