We were elated to find a vacancy at the Imperial Hotel!  Our room, located on the third floor, was decorated with a nod to the Old West having a 4 poster bed and antique furniture.  We had the corner room overlooking main street.  Each room has a different theme and we hope to go back soon to try another.

Are at the restaurant in a Friday night. Amazing good deal! Huge portion of a main dish, salad, bread & ice cream all for $13.00. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. The ambiance was awesome! Such an amazing history! A hidden gem!

We decided on whim to stop in and see this historic hotel. While in the hotel we looked over the menu and decided we would come back for dinner. Not knowing when we would be back we didn't make a reservation. We came back about a hour later and they were busy so we went and waited in the bar until our table was ready. The bartender was a hoot and the atmosphere is cozy. Only problem was they never told us our table was ready so we finally had to find the people in the restaurant to see if our table was ready and  it was so we finally got sat at our table. The food was excellent the portions were very good sized. The price was extremely reasonable as you had bread,soup or salad and spimoni ice cream included in your meal. I would highly recommend visiting g here when in cripple creek.

Classic Old Hotel

Surprisingly good food and atmosphere 

The restaurant is a hidden gem!

We stayed here on a comped room from Bronco Billy's.  (Comped but a $50 upcharge).

The suite (#60) was okay.  Not very big but clean and the bed was very comfortable.  A flat screen TV in both the bedroom and in the sitting room. There is a jacuzzi tub in the very nicely remodeled (modernized) bathroom, which we enjoyed very much. There is a small refrigerator and coffee machine in the room.

Check in staff was very nice.  No elevator so probably not the best choice for anyone with mobility issues.  Common areas seemed a bit disorganized (boxes, etc) but that might be because of possible remodeling.

Because of the $50 upcharge we probably won't stay here again since we can get completely comped rooms, just as nice, or nicer, at the other hotels in the area.

Pleasant Stay

So we get to the hotel and check in. The lady gives us keys for one room. It looked oddly familiar because we had stayed in that room before. We go down to tell the lady that we paid for a queen size bed and not a full this time. She apologizes and tells us that we are actually in a different room. She gives us the keys to that one. Room 46. We walk in and are stunned at how amazing it is! We leave our stuff in there. Go to some casinos and come back and realize that we not only have a key to 4y but also a key to 48. So us, bei.g the honest people we are, go back down and ask the lady if we can get another key for room 46 and that we accidentally got the second key for room 48. She then, apologizes again and says that we are actually in room 48 not room 46. At this point we are pissed and very annoyed. So we get our stuff and move to our THIRD room!! So we were thinking "ok all humans make mistakes." Well at 2 am when we are about to go to bed, we had lost the room key because the ring on the keys had a huge gap in it. Well, no one is there all night like a normal hotel, so we had to call the number on the sign MULTIPLE TIMES just to have someone let us in to our room. Well then we check out and walk out the door. Then we realize we had left a few things in our room and ALL THE DOORS ARE LOCKED AND WE CAN'T GET IN!! So here we are again, no one is ever at the front desk, calling the number. Waited 20 minutes for someone to finally open the door. It was hell!!! I will never stay here again. It caused arguing between me and my boyfriend and it was more stressful than relaxing. Very disappointed because the last time we stayed there we had no problems and loved it. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone!
