Red Cottage Inn & Suites

We’ve stayed at hotels all over the world, including some of the fanciest. To give you an idea… the last couple times we visited the Palo Alto area, we stayed at the Rosewood and Stanford Court. This time, we needed to be close to Menlo College and decided to take a chance on The Cottages, a small boutique hotel right across the street. We absolutely LOVED our stay at The Cottages. Here’s why: - The hotel, apparently very recently renovated and redesigned, is just beautiful. Quiet luxury at its finest. Our room had very high-end furnishings — even the light fixtures had a designer look and feel. The landscaping and fire pit were also just lovely. - Great beds and bedding. Loved our bathroom, too, which had a rain shower. - We stayed five days and had laundry to do. High end machines that don’t destroy your clothes were free for guests to use. Such a thoughtful touch! - We loved our private patio, which had chairs, a small table and strong WiFi. We used it quite a lot for remote work. - The staff — from the front desk to the maids — were Old World classy. More genteel than staff at 5-star hotels we’ve stayed at.
