LEGOLAND Windsor Resort Hotel 

I want to start by saying how glad I am that I didn’t listen to the negativity on Facebook. A holiday is what you make of it and even though we were still a bit skeptical going in, we stuck with our plans and I’m so happy we did. As a family of five, we were genuinely blown away. Maybe previous years have been different, but this was our first time visiting at Christmas and we had a fantastic experience. We planned our day well and managed to do all the available character meets, including LEGO Santa and the Nutcracker. Both interactions were brilliant and the staff with them made such a lovely effort with our three children. Every staff member we came across was helpful with our questions and more than happy to trade pop badges with the children which actually became a fun little game for us throughout the visit, creating a little competition between the three of my children. (It's just a shame they're hard to find other than in the Brick, when on previous visits over the years we left with quite a lot, from the hotel or at restaurants etc). Yes, the ride closures were disappointing, but we knew what to expect. In a way, it meant we took the trip at a slower pace and noticed lots of little details we probably would’ve missed if we’d gone in the summer. We stayed onsite for the weekend. The hotel was clean, the staff were great and both dinner and breakfast at the Brick Restaurant had plenty of choice, even with our fussy eaters! Queue times were very manageable. We never waited longer than about 15 minutes and a few times the advertised 40-minute waits were nowhere near as long. We usually visit around May/June, but this trip has sold us on making Christmas at LEGOLAND a yearly tradition. If there’s one thing I’d want people to take from this review, it’s that your holiday is what you make it. Our children were happy for the full two days, everything was easy to manage and I’m genuinely glad I didn’t let all the online negativity put us off.
