What a lovely little guest house! We arrived after 7pm which was no problem, no space in the car park itself but plenty space on the road directly outside the guest house. We had been emailed the morning of our arrival with the ‘self check in’ details, the instructions were easy to follow, we stayed in room 3, a lovely sized room with a four poster bed, wardrobe space, dressing table, and a good sized ensuite shower room. Breakfast was a continental style- porridge pots, cereal bar, fresh fruit, warmed croissants. Served to your door at 9am - it was perfect for us as it was our first weekend away without our small kids in 18 months so it was a real luxury having a peaceful breakfast in bed!! The shower was fab! Nice and powerful! Great location 10 minute walk to Bowness-on-Windermere, 10 minutes to Windermere. Plenty restaurants, bistro’s, coffee shops to choose from. Highly recommend Tapios Tapas in Windermere! Unfortunately the weather was atrocious but pleasantly surprised to find a small old fashioned cinema which happened to be showing James Bond! We would definitely return again (hoping for better weather next time!)
