Boscote

Stayed in the small double en-suite shower room, which was perfect. Everything you needed, no frills and excellent price. Clean room, comfy bed, and great location for walking into town. Highly recommend! 

Small basic but clean room, does the job if you just need a place to sleep however due to the location of the room you experience a lot of noise from people entering the house front door and gravel drive, security light coming on and also its on  a noisey main road and you sleep on the front close to the road.  Good location, approx 15 min steady stroll along the park, however this is very dark on the way back and should be better sticking to the main road. Tv poor reception nothing was coming through had to turn it off and the fridge noise at night was not very good.  Owners are around and lovely couple.

I enjoyed my stay and would return. 
Will it suit you? After all, that's what TripAdvisor is for. 
This is a long thin space: a cleverly converted garage.  Sofa and TV,  then bed, bathroom behind that and kitchen at the end; with the extra treat of a patio at the rear. It is well equipped; you could quite easily live here if you have few possessions  (storage is inevitably limited).  Staying in the week of a change in season,  I would have liked a bit of heating, which I guess is controlled elsewhere; and the lock is VERY touchy. But overall, a great place. 

Waitrose is about 7 minutes walk away, and the town also accessible on foot, so you don'thave to face the traffic bottleneck of the river crossings.  Stratford is well reviewed elsewhere. 

This was probably the smallest of our rooms on this 53 day holiday (after 17 days) but everything was there, as we were travelling we clothing for southern Europe in Summer to Northern Europe in mid Autunm (Fall) we probably had more luggage than the average traveller so space was at a premium, the host was out when we arrived but left a key and instructions on the door, she arrived home while we were there and gave us good advice about the area. Parking was good and the area was quite, there is no meals with the accommodation and payment is in cash on the day.

Perfectly Simple

What would the Bard of Avon say about this bed with no breakfast? Would he write a comedy, a farce, a tragedy?
I shall attempt to convey our tale of woe, as would a poor facsimile of Mr Shakespeare.
We shall begin our tale, late on a Monday's eve; having been checked in and shown our room for our next two nights stay. The smell of gloss paint is strong, but one cannot tell what has been painted; the window remains open to let the stench escape.
The "Small Double" for so it has been advertised, has not the room to swing a quadriplegic feline of small stature; with double bed, chest of drawers, and the counties noisiest miniature fridge shoehorned into the converted garage, which must have last been used as such, when the Austin Mini, was indeed mini.
The size of the room pales into insignificance, when compared to the noise. In the evening, the sounds of traffic from the open window, were drowned out by the noise of a family gathering, which ended late, with all and sundry traipsing noisily through the porch, past the door to our abode. In the morning, we were rudely awoken by the other occupants, one of whom, saw fit to sing a hearty tune, right outside our door. 
Not twenty minutes later, and still before 8:30; the owner received visitors, who were greeted in the porch, right next to our standard, internal door, where they remained. Had I been a burglar, and knew from where these loudest of visitors hailed, I could have comfortably ransacked their home and had time for lunch, for their itinerary was so well known to me by the end of their conversation.
The final straw that morning, was delivered by courier. Hammering on the front door and ringing the bell with a fervour, our demented friend from FedEx demanded attention like a man possessed. Parcel delivered, we were left to our relative peace.
Stratford-upon-Avon is a delightful place; the Boscote, itself, is a 10 minute walk from the canal basin, the squeaks from the floor of our garage room, could probably be heard there. Having escaped the room to explore Stratford, I am unable to say.
Later that evening, and perhaps after a successful audition with the RSC, our singing friend returned in fine voice. Having heard enough, we decided to cut our stay at the Boscote short.
Our stay was marred by smell, noise, feather bedding which had me wheezing, and those with no consideration of paying guests; there may be a play to be written from these experiences, but I, for one, would not wish to revisit the Boscote to further my research.
