After a busy working day, this is the perfect place to rest. 
Sue's welcome is great. You will enjoy your tea time in the garden or in front of the fire place depending on the English weather!
Comfortable rooms in this old house(18th century if I remember well what Sue explained in details). Ask her about gardening advices, local village and house history! Before leaving, you will enjoy a healthy breakfast: fresh fruit juice, homemade bread, cheese, fruit and yoghurt.

We only stayed for one night en-route to the Cotswolds, but wished we had taken the opportunity to stay a little longer. The house is wonderful, and Sue made us feel very welcome. She is a fascinating lady with lots of good local knowledge. The village is a nice peaceful place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of towns. The room was lovely, and breakfast was just like sitting with good friends, having a good chat over a cup of tea. Having got to know what we liked in that short time, Sue pointed us in the right directions when we left to make the most of our visit to Warwick. We would certainly recommend that you seek this place out to stay.

Coming from France for business in this area, I have been staying in this B&B more than ten times since June 2014. This is the perfect place to rest and to enjoy a nice stay in a typical village. The property is lovely and very charming. The garden is peaceful. Sue welcomes Guest very nicely. Depending on the weather, Sue will serve you a cup of tea in front of the fire or inside the garden. You will enjoy discussing with her. I feel like at home in this B&B which is very relaxing after a busy and stressful day. I definitively recommend that B&B.

We spent one night whilst visiting Stratford..be aware no sign/name on door just a large number 9. What a beautiful house, 3 rooms Sue had upgraded us to a lovely bedroom next to the kitchen patio doors out into fab garden. Breakfast is continental, lovely home made bread and marmalade, you can have eggs. Top notch coffee machine. Be aware if you read other reviews about Sues brill pancakes you need to tell her the day before as she makes the batter the night before - we missed out 😕 -gutted. Sue is lovely, very helpful. Two pubs in village we ate at the Granville limited choice but food ok. Can recommend Chipping Camden beautiful Cotswold village.

Great place!!

Like visiting a good friend

Excellent stay

I have really tried to be fair as the owner is alone and probably needs the business, but the following report is how I felt about our stay. 

Firstly, the house has no sign outside indicating that it is a B&B, so you have to ask. Mmm I always feel a bit suspicious of B&Bs that make it difficult for you to find them. Parking is on the road but there are difficulties in finding a space outside the Machado .

The bed was extremely comfortable but you would expect it to be as it has four stars and the bathroom was clean. The house was very interesting.....so what was the problem for us ? 

Well, the hostess is far from an easy going happy go lucky sort. She definitely made us feel uncomfortable about being in HER house and was not going to budge one inch from her normal routine, to accommodate anyone. 

She only has at the most Six guests staying, but said she couldn't cope with cooking for them all at the same time. As someone who has cooked for years for six people ( 3 children, AuPair, us) I was amazed. 

She won't cook a traditional cooked breakfast for anyone, and for £95 a night what you get, isn't really good value. It would be more acceptable if you felt able to ask her for something, which I did, and got nowhere. 

There are no Tea and Coffee making facilities  in the rooms. I was pointed to a space in the kitchen and told that there was the equipment there to make tea, etc, but that if we wanted a cup in the morning, we needed to come before 7.30 as she put the breakfast out in the space!!!!!  There were plenty of other places in the house to put out cups etc, but that wasn't going to happen. The inference was if you came after 7.30 you wouldn't be accommodated. I was astonished and would have liked to have left at that point. 

I sent my husband in the morning to get tea, as we like a morning cup. What a drag to have to get dressed, come back to the bedroom, drink the tea, then shower etc. No, no.

All guests eat breakfast ( you have to say what time you are going to come and I think our entrance was staggered) at a table together in the kitchen, and the owner is in the background cooking and fretting ( it appeared to me) It is a little like being at boarding school. The bread is homemade but not particularly wonderful. I made my own for years and I have friends who make tastier bread. The jams provided were not homemade either, as I saw the jars. We did have some lovely stewed fruit and Muesli ( Tesco Best)  one morning and some pancakes. The pancakes were lovely. 

I went to the RCA and I recognise an Arty, difficult person when I see one, as in ' I am an Artist so however badly I behave you have to lump it. Examples, Modigliani, Augustus John etc. The list is long.  
However, I think you need to like people AND be a very easy going person to run a successful B&B. Yes, all the owners are in it for the money, the knack however, is to make your guests feel as though that it is not your primary concern. 
I personally would never stay there again. But you can see from the glowing reviews, some people felt OK. 
What a contrast the next B&B was, and it was also four star and £65 a night.
