This was a stay over Christmas, to visit family with my daughter and her fiance. We had the four poster and the twin room and every aspect of our stay was superb. Elaine and Ian are excellent hosts and the rooms are super comfortable. The whole place has been done to a high spec and it's absolutely beautiful. Peaceful, cosy and homely with a touch of luxury to make you feel special. Top quality food and breakfast included and made to order. We enjoyed every moment and when we revisit, we won't need to look anywhere else for our next stay.

I started for the nights mid week and was made to feel very welcome. The room was clean and well appointed, the hosts friendly and always happy to help with suggestions for food. Breakfast was good and the location very easy for wondering around the town.

This B&B is the very best that we have visited in many years of travelling. The thoughtfulness of the building conversion and the quality of workmanship and decor make this a genuine jewel in the North Devon crown.
It is ideally situated for access to Torrington town and its amenities but just as important is its proximity to all of the  manifold attractions throughout North Devon. The Tarka trail, Museums, beaches, moors, country walks, cliff walks, golf,  children's play parks etc. etc. 
The accommodation is beautifully designed and immaculately maintained by owners that obviously love what they do. The breakfast is almost on a "you name it" basis with no quibbles or questions, everything is freshly prepared and of the best quality. Ian & Elaine are very welcoming and obliging and do whatever they can to ensure you enjoy your stay. Parking at the property is limited but alternative parking is close by and safe. We had a wonderful 4 nights here and would have loved to have had more but we will definitely return, if we can get a booking. Very highly recommended.

Stayed for 1 night, our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean had everything in there you could possibly want..  The bed was so comfortable we both had a really good nights sleep.
Breakfast was delicious and the owners Elaine & Ian were fantastic.
It is ideally located with numerous amenities within easy reach. 
 The only downside was -  we were only staying one night....

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst attending a wedding at RHS Rosemoor (5 mins away).  What a gem of a place.  Elaine and Ian very welcoming and our en suite room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated.  Tea and coffee making facilities in the room with fresh milk available which is always a bonus.
Plenty off street parking and a lovely little garden where we could relax and read our books etc on arrival. We could come and go as we pleased.
Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked. Ian and Elaine work as a team and obviously enjoy doing it. Very friendly and had plenty ideas for places to visit. Would definitely stay again and thoroughly recommend Windsor House.

Have just returned from a two night stay at this terrific B&B. We were in Devon to visit relatives....Ian and Elaine are amazing hosts and made us very welcome. Our room was cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Had a two lovely restful nights followed by delicious breakfasts...wished we could have stayed longer!!
This is such a friendly place to stay. We can't recommend it highly enough.

The B&B is ideally located near the centre of Great Torrington, so many local amenities are within a few minutes walk. It is easy to find and we were welcomed by the owners (Ian & Elaine).

We have stayed here a few times before, and will continue to return due to the great location, the rooms are lovely, the breakfast superb, and the hosts delightful.

RHS Rosemoor is also very close, only a short drive, and definitely worth a visit.


Beautiful, well kept property with lovely rooms. 5 min walk from town centre.  Elaine and Ian are very friendly and happy to advise on local events, things to do, places to eat etc. Tasty, freshly cooked breakfast too.
